KIMBERLEY: WHY SHARON THREW STROP
Evicted contestant Kimberley Southwick spills
beans on Osbourne exit
By Kevin W iddop
OUSTED X Factor contestant Kimberley Southwick
has revealed her shock at Sharon Osbourne’s walk-out last
night.
Judge Sharon stormed off the show after Kimberley and Alisha
Bennett were voted into the bottom two places on last night’s
first live show.
Bubbly Kimberly revealed: “Sharon had an inkling that it
would be me and Alisha in the bottom two – and she was right.

“I was really shocked by her exit from the show. I just
think she took it very personally, really. I have never seen her
do anything like that before. She really threw a strop, didn’t
she?
“I would have liked her to be holding my hand longer.”
The 19-year-old Brummie barmaid was the first contestant to get
booted off the show last night after going up against friend and
flatmate Alisha, 23, and
revealed: “The hardest thing was leaving her. I was so upset
last night.”
The peroxide blonde opened the show, but her rendition of Geri
Halliwell’s ‘It’s Raining Men’ failed
to impress judges and Louis Walsh’s deciding vote saw Kimberley
bid farewell to the show.
Simon Cowell described it as “karaoke on a big budget”.
Kimberly said: “I have always agreed with everything he
[Simon] said, but I just don’t think people took me seriously
enough.
“They gave me such a fun single. If they had given me a
belter, I could have held it better but it just wouldn’t
have been me.
“I’m just going to try and keep my chin up.”

Kimberley also revealed that she nearly burned the house down
after overcooking a jacket potato following her performance.
She said: “I’m not one of the best cooks in the world,
but I put some jacket potatoes in the microwave for half an hour
and they set on fire.”
The fun-loving blonde said she was looking forward to a Sunday
roast with Sharon, but revealed that she had a secret yearning
for dance teacher Daniel.
“He’s [Daniel] hot. I would always tried to catch
him coming out of the shower in the morning and just say hello.”
The 19-year-old also praised girl group Hope and said they were
desperate for fame.
“Whenever they would see a photographer, they would be
like,” she said pouting her lips like a model.
“They really want it. They want it bad, but why not?”
Now she is backing 34-year-old catering manager Niki Evans to
go on and win the show.
“I think Nikki will win – and I hope she does. She
doesn’t live too far away from me either, so that will be
good.
“She’s great and she’s got a lot more to show.
“But I think that everyone is on the same level. Last year,
Leona [Lewis] was out in front all the time, but I don’t
think it’s like that this time.
“If I was a voter, I would not have known who to have voted
for last night.”
