Alisha gets boot

By Kevin Widdop

SHOCKED Sharon Osbourne was left without an act in X Factor last night as Alisha Bennett was voted off.

Gym receptionist Alisha, 23, said: “I did all that I can do.”

Sharon - now left to vote on the other judges’ acts - said: “I will now be the only impartial judge. I have got nothing to win or lose.”

Alisha got her marching orders - with Louis Walsh giving the casting vote - after being left in the final two with Simon Cowell’s girl band Hope.

Louis told her: “It’s a really hard decision - I either break one girl’s heart or five girls’ hearts.”

ALISHA TELLS OF HIGHS, LOWS AND FUTURE PLANS

Alisha from Wembley, North London, sang Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Staton.

Hope had belted out Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight) by Abba as contestants battled it out in disco week.

Sharon and Simon had earlier clashed over whether roller skaters had been used effectively in Alisha's performance. They were ditched for the sing-off.

Simon said: "It was a complete and utter mess. "It would help if you got people who could roller skate and there was one point when they were all falling about you. "And you sang out of tune, Alisha."

Sharon fired back: "You [SIMON]hire, you fire. "It's not up to me who hires the dancers. I get a pay cheque every week, that's all."

Simon added: "You could have stopped it from happening, of course you could."

As Alisha's best bits were shown, an emotional Sharon put her hand on her heart and said: "I can't say it on camera.

"She knows what's in here.

"She's a class act, she really is.”
