Argentina's Horacio Agulla tries to grab England's Andy Goode
OUT OF REACH - Argentina's Horacio Agulla tries to grab England's Andy Goode

Andy Goode's boot can't save tourists

MATT BANAHAN'S late try failed to prevent England from defeat last night.

The visitors appeared to be heading for a drubbing in Salta when they trailed 14-3 at the break.

But with Andy Goode, who kicked 17 points, slotting four second-half penalties and a conversion of Bath wing Banahan's 79th-minute try, England almost pulled off a shock comeback. Martin Hernandez was the inspiration behind the hosts' dominant first-half display.

SCORERS - Argentina: tries Leguizamon, Camacho; cons Hernandez; pens Hernandez 3; drop Hernandez. England: tries Banahan; cons Goode; pens Goode 5.

Lest you forget Keith, England were without quite a few first choice players that are on the Lions tour...just run through the names and you'll get my point!

So the England silver-lining was just another false dawn, after all. We will win nothing with Johnson in charge as he has no management or coaching experience whatsoever
