ROGER AND IN - Federer shows off his gold with doubles partner Stanislas Wawrinka
ROGER FEDERER put losing his world No 1 crown behind him when he landed his first Olympic gold.
He teamed up with Stanislas Wawrinka to win the doubles with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3 victory over Sweden’s Simon Aspelin and Thomas Johansson.
The Swiss, who was beaten in the last eight of the singles, will lose his No 1 ranking to Rafa Nadal tomorrow.
