JENSON BUTTON fears his bid for title glory in Brazil could be sabotaged by fans of his team-mate Rubens Barrichello.

The duo's Brawn GP team are set to bring in extra security to ensure fair play in the Brazilian's home city of Sao Paulo next Sunday.

Button will be crowned champion if he finishes third or better - even if Barrichello wins in front of his fans.

But a source close to the team said: "There is a concern something could happen.

"There will be a lot of Brazilians there who all want to see Rubens win the race and maybe the title.

"If not sabotage, then certainly trying to get at Jenson mentally in the build-up.

"Jenson is in the same situation that Lewis Hamilton was at last year's Brazilian race with Felipe Massa - and McLaren took no chances."

Twelve months ago, McLaren took on extra security and drove Hamilton to the Interlagos track in a bullet-proof car.

But that could not stop two comedians hijacking a build-up event to throw a toy black cat at Hamilton and hand him a Vasco de Gama football shirt.

Black cats symbolise bad luck in Brazil while de Gama are known as a team that always finishes second.

This time, chief Ross Brawn had to read the riot act to Barrichello over suspicions his camp were witholding technical data that would have helped the British driver.

Brawn said: "You do what you can to minimise the tension and pressure that comes with this position.

"If any negative tensions creep in, you deal with them."

Button leads Barrichello by 14 points in the drivers' championship with Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel a further two points back, with two races left.

Had Rubens not played second fiddle to Schaumacher for years, he would have won a world championship. I'd love to see him win this season! I've never rated Button and never will.

Deserves the title? He had the best car and did well with it - until Red Bull, Mclaren and Ferrari caught up. Then, once again with a car that wasn't performing as well as the others, Button has lost his cool, put his head down, and achieved mediochoroe finishes and stumbled toward the title. If the season had started in Britain, when the catch-up came to, Button has 18 points and lies 5th in the standings.

Worthy champions get the best out of their car in any circumstances - Since the Brawn became more of a dog, he's been beatem by Rubens hands down. So what if RB doesn't pass over data? All is fair in Love and War.

Come on Rubens - you deserve it - and Lewis for next year!

Of all the drivers Button is up against, Barrichello was the only one you just wouldnt have minded beating Button this year, given his history in the sport, the struggles both have shared under Honda and his reputation as an all round nice guy.

That is however until I read the above article, underhand tactics are to be expected in F1 however I would have expected any shenanigans at Brawn to have gone under the radar given the level of driver professionalism. It saddens me deeply to hear that already cheap tactics on behalf of Barrichello's tech team have required a dressing down from RB - I can only hope that we do not hear of more stories in the coming week and can look forward to a clean competition.

Button - U are a legend and unlike Hamilton you damn well deserve the title this year. Come On!!!!!
