The Portugal winger continues to frustrate Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson after an inconsistent start to the season.
Fergie expected him to step out of Cristiano Ronaldo's shadow when he sold the World Player of the Year to Real Madrid in the summer.
Instead Nani has failed to mature and Fergie is already considering his options for the United flop.
Nani had been earmarked for a potential loan move to Wigan last summer but that was blocked by the United chief as he decided to give the player another chance to shine.
Nani, however, has yet to take it.
United continue to monitor the form of Valencia playmaker David Silva and will test the water again in the January transfer window.
Silva has made it clear that he wants to move to United but the two clubs are a long way apart in their valuations.

The boy has no future at united so fergie ship him out and give the likes of obertan and tosic more play time.

Enuff about Nani. Why isn't Fergie considering selling the likes of Berbatov. He's lazy, easily loses ball and always shoots wide!!
And that Nani boy, he could be sold to a team with patience like Arsenal. Man U is not the place for players to mature!

What is expected of a flank player ?......1) creative & inventive dribbling and running down the flankse 2) deliver effective & accurate crosses into the opponents' boxes for your mates to shoot/head at goal 3) exciting cut-ins from the flanks and shoot accurately at goal. Line up Nani against this checklist and walla you have the answer !
What is a lousy flank player ?......1) frequently losing possesion of the ball along the flanks 2) not able to deliver accurate crosses into the box 3) shooting balls into the spectators' stand behind the opponents' goalkeeper. Line up Nani against this checklist and walla, you have the answer again.

NANI is a great player, he was great at Sporting, Premiership supporters sometimes lack patience, especialy in the BIG FOUR, NANI might not make it at OLD TRAFFORD but i can see him becoming a talismanic figure in one of the top EUROPEAN football clubs

@ Blackfoot.
United is the biggest soccer club in the world, and not just an academy that gives playing time to these guys so that they can become better players. Nani has been given plenty of chances throughout this sesaon. He isn't crossing well, some of his corners don't even reach the near post, he chooses the wrong option more often and takes way too many touches on the ball. SAF is still continuing to give him chances but he needs to come up with some big performances (meaning assists and goals).
Otherwise, Obertan has already impressed everyone in his 1st 2 outtings and I won't be surprised to see United playing Valencia on right and Obertan on left in the upcoming Champions League Final at Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid.
A possible line up for United if we meet Barcelona again:
Van der Sar
Rio Vidic Evans
Fletcher/ Hargo/
scholes Carrick
Valencia Obertan
Rooney
Berbatov Owen

Yes I agree that Nani should have raised his game by now,but let us go back and think, shouldn't SAF and Co given the poor guy more games last season? Giggs is a very good player, but he cant reproduce his form game in-game out as would be required for this and subsequent seasons!Ronaldo didn't have half of Nani's season in his first season, but his advantages were that he had no competition for his position and that he had blistering pace!I feel that Nani should be start most games and Giggs should be brought on for the last 15 minutes(if things get out of hand) as an impact player! As for getting David Silva,we all know that Valencia think the world of him,so as such,we wont be able to afford the price tag!If we need a goal-scorer,we should have bought David Villa, but we went for a cut-price Owen!

Nani is a good guy.He needs a psycologist to help build is confidence level. He needs more playing time.Every player is different.Ronaldo learned more quickly and adapted well because his 2nd father-CARLOS Quieroz was there.Nani will eventually come good.As for david silva, yes, lets get him no matter what.He will be phenomenon with NANI,TOSIC,OBERTAN, as backup. Please Sir Alex, give nani time.As for ji sung park,i think he needs to go.
By Orobosa. Posted October 19 2009 at 10:13 AM.
Nani !!!, he is a very good player but lacks everything needed to play in an hard figthing team like Man Utd. Bcos he hardly contribute to d team,no accurate passes, selfish, falls down ligthly which does not fit for Man Utd pattern. So he needs to be sold.
By Sungeo. Posted October 19 2009 at 9:48 AM.
SAF always thinks about the club. its nothing personal but if nani cant contribute, make way for another. nani is good on his day but those days sometimes dun fall on match days.
By Raj K Dheri. Posted October 19 2009 at 6:53 AM.
Nani is more an individual rather than team player. He must go despite he's a skillful player. He's good at long shoot but mostly all off target. He tends to lose possessions inside and near the flag pole area. Thus far,Valencia has done a great job on the right flank. But sadly,Nani failed to even making decent cross.Let face it:Nani was a bad buy consider his price tag !!
By Jonathan KY Heng. Posted October 19 2009 at 4:06 AM.
Nani was a waste of money he cannot pass, cross and contributes nothing to a United that is lacking a decent midfield get rid sell him to Rafa or Judas
By Ryan Giggs. Posted October 19 2009 at 12:05 AM.
I would like sir Alex to keep him, becos he may change when he see David silva playn and obertan and tosic.

PLS GIVE NANI MORE TIME TO PLAY AND HE WILL BE BETTER THEN SILVA OR RONALDO......TRY THAT FERGIE,,,, PLANTS NEEDS TIME TO GROW JUST LIKE UR KIDS TOO.
By J.D. Posted October 18 2009 at 10:00 PM.
Nani should stil b given time, i stil hope he can stil perform, pls Fergie keep him.
By Peter phiri. Posted October 18 2009 at 8:08 PM.
He has got skill, speed, and scores fantastic goals, give him some more time and more opportunities.
He will show his true class... He can only improve with more time on the pitch and increase his confidence.

How the heck would it be hard for torres to hold his place in the manchester united team ?
UP FRONT
ROONEY TORRES
Which dim idiot can't work out the fact tht torres and rooney upfront would be unstoppable
By Billy. Posted October 18 2009 at 8:35 PM.
i think fergie shd keep nani,he's gud he just needs more xposure n play time.seriously, park, carrick shoud be sold.i dont jus get carrick u knw,he's slow not toooo agressive for dr position he's playing.fergie keep nani, but definately david silver is a must.he will boost man u's attack to de fullest.
By myhah. Posted October 18 2009 at 5:01 PM.
whatever, Toress is arguably the best striker on the Planet and would be first choice in any team! N to be honest, Man U this season just don't look world class. Nani, Anderson, Valenia, Carrick are all good players but they're not close to being to bein the players Fergie wants them to be by now, ya just can't see any of em being another ronaldo scholes or giggs.
By JimmyBrain139. Posted October 18 2009 at 3:08 PM.
pls guys live nani alone he is still young and talented and far better than park.park is the one to go cos he lacks everything utd is looking for at the moment
By mustapha sesay. Posted October 18 2009 at 3:52 PM.
Blackfoot, your talking rubbish, they chose UTD because there the best around, it would even be difficult for Torres to hold on to his place at OT
By RED CRIDD. Posted October 18 2009 at 2:28 PM.
Nan is a great player with very good pace and skills, utd supporters in da should be aware dat in football dere's rise and fall.
Fargie don't let Nan go..
By Mjb.. Posted October 18 2009 at 2:06 PM.
Fergie i think you shouldnt sell nani cos he is a good player and can be a good sub for man u since giggs will be retiring soon.Silva is a player we shoukd do everything in our power to get him he is indeed a good player.Nani wil be there to sub when there is injury.
By spanky. Posted October 18 2009 at 2:05 PM.
What???
Don't Man U fans remember Ronaldo being inconsistent when he first joined Utd? Might be hard to believe but he got better by actually playing.
Nani, and other utd players like Anderson were being looked at by other clubs but Man U were willing to pay more. Now they wait for Giggs to get tired before they can get on the pitch. If they had gone to even a mid-table side they'd be better players now just for they're experience.
Would be interesting to know how many full games they've played since they joined Utd, and how many they might have played elsewhere. Utd seem to turn potential into disappointment more often than not.
By 8lackfoot. Posted October 18 2009 at 1:30 PM.
get silva anyways, nani is great on his day, when he gets a tru run of games then he will show his true potential....man u fans you kno he can play well, remember against arsenal, roma?? hes twice the player for portugal, because he has confidence, and anderson needs to start playing attacking midfield, his tru position
By ricky. Posted October 18 2009 at 1:20 PM.
Looks like another good piece of psychology from Fergie in order to shake this guy up and make him realise that it ain't good enough to turn it on every once in a while......that won't cut it ...and justify the big salary...at the biggest clubs !!!!
It's up to him really !!!
Shape up, or be shipped out!!!
By RUSSELL MORRISON. Posted October 18 2009 at 11:44 AM.
A player with skill and some pace. Unfortunately, he has'nt any fight, heart and no confidence whatsoever! This is his 3rd year and has'nt progressed so he will be sold next summer..by then Oberton and Tosic will be up to speed.
By steve. Posted October 18 2009 at 11:17 AM.
We have given him plenty of chances. It's time for him to go. He had a great start to his Man U career, scored some great goals. He even looked a better crosser of the ball than Ronaldo. But I think he's gone backwards. I'd love to see Silva in the red of Man U, as i think we lack that creative spark in the midfield. Did anyone watch the game in midweek. Obertan...now he looks good. How about we give him a run in the team!!!
By Dimaggio. Posted October 18 2009 at 10:40 AM.
Its true that nani has some quality but not enough to fill the void left by Ronaldo. He can score some good doals through free kicks and long range shot but he is not good in the box ... Bring silva in for Nani and buy one more striker we dont have options if Ronney is injured .
By Faran Bhaiji. Posted October 18 2009 at 10:35 AM.
Nani has skill but yet to mature and besides he lacks team work play. Fargie go for silva in jan. We wil hav a good bench.
By Jerry. Posted October 18 2009 at 10:23 AM.
I like nani ,Fergie give him a chance he is still young. look at what happened to Ronaldo, he struggled for 2years but after that he become the world footballer of the year.
By trevor. Posted October 18 2009 at 10:16 AM.
As for me Nani is a good player, i real don't want him to go an way. Let give him more time.
By Godwin chinedu. Posted October 18 2009 at 10:00 AM.
WAT MAKES PEOPLE THINK SILVA CUD HACK IT IN THE PREMIERSHIP. WE HAV TO GIV THE LIKES OF NANI AND ANDERSON TIME, THERE BOTH VERY TALENTED PLAYERS, AND REMEMBER, THERE BOTH STILL YOUNG, SO FERGIE, KEEP FAITH IN THEM
By MICKY SANDERSON. Posted October 18 2009 at 9:54 AM.

Don't make it debate. Nani was given a long time, opportunity to improve, but seems as he failed to perform. May be fargie give him time up to jan transf market. If he done the same, send him to small club as loan deal. He is doing like richardson sunderland man. Slowly improving.
By Asantael. Posted October 18 2009 at 9:44 AM.
Nani shud b given some more time he will b better but i think silva is the best.
By Peter. Posted October 18 2009 at 9:27 AM.
Good riddance to the poorer version of cristiano ronaldo you wont be missed if we get silva
By tuoyo duncan. Posted October 18 2009 at 9:29 AM.
He's still young and he played awesome in his first season. Maybe he's lost his confidence. A loan move would be a good idea.
By Dan, Leicester. Posted October 18 2009 at 8:39 AM.
Lets be honeest here people, the guy has been here for ni on 3 years now and he hasnt improved. He hasnt got the excuse of ronaldo anymore and hes had so many chances, I mean he was diabolical against wolves in the cup. And if you cant perform against wolvees how can you expect to perform against a top team
BYE BYE NANI.
By Dean Whitlock. Posted October 18 2009 at 8:38 AM.
Its true that Nani were showing bad performances...We must not be mad to him...Cause maybe he was trying to hard to impress us[who is man utd fan]..Although he is trying to hard we all must wait and see, we all do not know whats is going to happend...
By hafiz...manu fan. Posted October 18 2009 at 8:08 AM.
do it!! He doesn't desere any more chances. He is too selfish without the skill and end product to back up the arrogance. Time to let Kleberson Jr go.
By nrflkred. Posted October 18 2009 at 7:21 AM.
Nani is just been inconsistent and I think he should be used in a swap deal for Silva but he should be given more games to show his commitment
By Kleex. Posted October 18 2009 at 7:04 AM.
I always believe in Nani, he is a good player. Try your best, you will success
By thanhtong. Posted October 18 2009 at 6:20 AM.
Nani should leave United, he is a worse team player than Ron was when he came in 6 yrs ago, after 3 yrs Nani is still the same, have not improve at all. Anderson have matured and show tenacity!!!
he lacksreal drives to play for us aside for himself.
LET HIM GO far faaaarrrrr away
By ROby. Posted October 18 2009 at 5:49 AM.
I'LL BE HONEST, I LIKE NANI...I ALSO THINK FERGIE NEEDS TO GIVE HIM A REAL GO IN THE SIDE, BUT IF VALENCIA ALLOW SILVA TO GO AND NANI GO IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION......DO IT!
By BOBBY. Posted October 18 2009 at 2:19 AM.
Would I.... In a heartbeat. See Ya!!!!!!!!!!!!
By Robert Nichols. Posted October 18 2009 at 12:15 AM.
Who wouldn't swap David Silva for Nani ??????
