BURY came from behind to maintain their 100 per cent start in the league.

Rene Howe fired Morecambe in front on 14 minutes when he turned in Neil Wainwright’s pass.

But Alan Knill’s side levelled just five minutes later when skipper Paul Scott rose highest to head home from Brian Barry-Murphy’s corner.

And the home side grabbed the lead when Shrimps’ David Artell turned Elliott Bennett’s cross into his own net on the half-hour.

Morecambe hit back well with Wayne Curtis twice going close and Howe having his effort saved by keeper Wayne Brown 10 minutes after the restart.

But keeper Barry Roche had to keep Morecambe in it with saves from Danny Racchi and Andy Bishop late on.
