DERBY 2, QPR 4

SHOUT OUT - Nigel Clough and QPR chief Jim Magilton make their points

Nigel Clough pays the price for crocked Rams

INJURY-RAVAGED Derby lost a two-goal lead to plunge into relegation trouble.

Nigel Clough's makeshift side made light of the club's long list of walking wounded in the early stages.

Goals by on-loan Leicester striker Paul Dickov after 10 minutes and captain Robbie Savage nine minutes before the break gave the Rams a clear advantage.

But the longer the game went on, the more they became stretched.

Manager Clough was smiling as golden oldies Dickov, 36, and Savage, 35, put his side in front.

Savage threaded a free kick through to Dickov for the striker to drive home his 100th career league goal.

And Savage got in on the goal act by curling a 20-yard free kick in off a post.

But the home fans were silenced when Adel Taarabt scored from a 25-yard free kick on 40 minutes.

Two minutes after the break, the visitors were level as Gavin Mahon turned the ball over the line.

And a mix-up in the Derby defence allowed Jay Simpson to slide home QPR's third goal after 59 minutes.

Derby did fight valiantly but they were killed off cruelly in the last minute with an Akos Buzsaky penalty striker following a foul on Wayne Routledge by left-back Dean Moxey.

Rangers boss Jim Magilton said: "At 2-0, I feared the worst - but the lads have got great confidence at the moment and our first goal just boosted that belief."

No excuses Derby your just not good enough to be in this league.I use to watch them when they played real tough football. Now they play with a blown up ping pong ball and wear dancing shoes. When will they be signing females to play for them?It astonishes me Why so many support such a rubbish team these people would be much better off going and getting into shape exercising than sit there full of frustraion. If the players trained more thry would have less injuries and more endurance.

I was surprised when Magilton got that job, but he's proving that at this level he's a quality but underrated boss. And look at Ipswich since his unfair departure. In football and in life, eventually everyone gets what they deserve..

What a Great Come Back from the 'R's yesterday.Jim Magilton deserves alot of credit along with his backroom staff for the way that the Super Hoops are playing at the moment.Yes we will go through a bad patch sooner or later.Every team does;but it is the way that you bounce back that show's the character of a team.Jim Magilton has brought belief, confidence in to the team.Even when derby were 2-0 up the team played with belief. We played attractive football, keeping it on the ground. As the game went on,you could see just why the players have so much condifence at the moment. The Derby players were casing shadow's at times. We deserved to win; and from a football point of view the way the team played was a pleasure to watch.Let us hope that as supporters of Q.P.R. along with the Owners of Q.P.R. do not turn on Jim Magilton when things do go wrong. Please remember that Jim Magilton has made us a team that can score goals, can play attractive football and can given time and money take us back in to the Premiership. It may take a couple of season's ;but Jim Magilton is the right man for the job.Look at all the Top Teams in the Premiership. They keep their manager through thick and thin.We must do the same with Jim Magilton.COME ON YOU 'R's. Good Luck to Everyone connected to Q.P.R. THANKYOU TO THE OWNER'S OF Q.P.R. FOR SAVING US. THANKYOU. Just look at the mess that Liverpool are in at the moment. No Money and the possibility of losing that vital Top 4 Place in the Premiership come the end of the season.
