VASSELL: Fancies a move to Bolton

DARIUS VASSELL hopes Bolton will end his Turkish nightmare in January.

The former Manchester City striker's summer switch to Ankaragucu took a lot of people by surprise.

But the move has since turned sour as he was turfed out of his temporary accommodation this week because his cash-strapped club couldn't afford to pay the bill.

It has left the 29-year-old in limbo and he is now seeking a move to Bolton.

Vassell, who will be available for around £2million, has attracted interest from West Brom but his links with Aston Villa and desire for Premier League football is likely to lead him to the Reebok.

Bolton boss Gary Megson has yet to firm up his interest but with doubts over Johan Elmander's long-term future, he is likely to offer Vassell a deal in January.

A source close to the player said: "Darius is not too sure about his future in Turkey now. He is looking at all of his options and would consider moving to Bolton."
