REPLACED: Jenas hobbles off against Villarreal

JERMAINE JENAS has eased Tottenham's injury crisis by telling manager Harry Redknapp: "I'm fit."

Redknapp was furious that Jenas, Luka Modric, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Wilson Palacios were all crocked on the club's 11,500-mile pre-season jaunt to the USA.

Jenas limped off after just 18 minutes of Spurs' 4-1 defeat to Villarreal on Thursday and Redknapp rapped: "I don't know how long he will be out.

"Our schedule is crazy. We pile games in."

But midfielder Jenas has confirmed he is perfectly alright.

"It was just a tightening of the muscle," said Jenas. "I'm okay and I will be fit for training on Monday."
