UNITED MIDFIELDER GOES AWOL AT BRAGA

SPORTING BRAGA are desperate to ditch Rodrigo Possebon after the Manchester United loanee failed to report for training this week.

The midfielder has endured a disappointing time in Portugal since arriving in the summer and Braga are disillusioned with his attitude.

Sources close to the club have stressed it is the SEVENTH time he has missed a session without offering an explanation for his absence.

Possebon was angered after being substituted 34 minutes into a Europa League tie with Elfsborg back in August and he has been unable to convince his temporary employers of his worth since then.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hoped the deal would provide the Brazilian with some regular first-team experience after his progress at Old Trafford was cut short by a serious injury in a Carling Cup win over Middlesbrough in September, 2008.
