HAMSIK: Hot property at Napoli

NOW we know the 32 finalists for the World Cup, we have plenty of choice for our Ones to Watch feature.

Slovakia are proudly waiting in the hat for the draw, nestling alongside some bigger names, but already everybody knows Marek Hamsik.

The Napoli ace is on Chelsea's wanted list and continues to enhance his reputation in Serie A. Will he be a star of the tournament?

Name: Marek Hamsik

Club: Napoli

Age: 22

Position: Attacking midfielder centre

Statistics (Serie A):

Appearances: 12, Goals: 7

Napoli's highly-rated midfielder Marek Hamsik was one of the major reasons behind Slovakia's qualification for the 2010 World Cup and if the eastern European country are to impress in South Africa they will need their talisman to perform.

Marek Hamsik is a central attacking midfielder who can also play as a box-to-box midfielder; he is very dangerous going forward but can also play a defensive game thanks to his physical qualities.

The 22-year-old is a modern footballer, the complete package, he has no real weaknesses in his game and is set to make a name for himself in South Africa after establishing himself as the idol of Napoli's famously fanatic supporters.

The 6ft attacking midfielder was snapped up by Brescia from Slovan Bratislava and after scoring ten goals during season 2006/2007 he was transferred to Napoli. At Maradona's former club, Hamsik has taken the mantle of leader at the club and consistently scored goals. So far this season, Hamsik has already claimed seven goals in just 12 appearances.

Hamsik is already rated as one of the hottest talents in European football and has been heavily linked with Chelsea in recent months. He is contracted to Napoli until the summer of 2014 and, on the basis of his performances so far, he will undoubtedly be playing at the highest levels in years to come.

Chelsea should snap Hamsik up before the World Cup as the Slovakian Cesc Fabregas is sure to be worth a whole lot more following the conclusion of the tournament in South Africa.

Liverpool should buy him? LMAO

Yeah, and Liverpool are still in the title race, oops, and we're not even in December. Why would he want to sign for a club who might not even be playing in the Europa cup next year?
