MAYWEATHER ON THE MONEY!

Marquez outgunned in Las Vegas

NOT only can Floyd Mayweather talk the talk, but he walks the walk as well.

After brashly proclaiming this week to be better than the legendary Muhammad Ali, the straight-talking pound-for-pound king at least looked like he had never been away when marking his return to the ring with a total domination of Juan Manuel Marquez.

The Mexican is more than gutsy and represented a difficult opponent but 'Money' blew him away to record a resounding points success - 118-109, 120-107 and 119-108 on the judges' scorecards.

After racking up win number 40, on the back of over 20 months out, Mayweather could be setting his sights on making 'Sugar' Shane Mosley victim number 41.

Manny Pacquiao who, like Mayweather, made light work of Ricky Hatton, remains an attractive option but possibly further down the line for a mega-fight to get the PPV cash registers going into overdrive.

For now, Mosley is the man in the firing line after vowing: "Me and 'Money' Mayweather, let's get this on."

Mayweather, who declared he is not scared of Mosley "or any fighter" seems to be in agreement after praising the Californian - even after his potential opponent's best Kanye West impression in terms of trying to steal centre stage at an inappropriate moment.

"Tonight is not Mosley's night," Mayweather did complain. "I don't get in the ring and grab the mic and take away another fighter's shine."
