and what a waste of space Walcott is. The hype over him is just that hype, the sooner Capello realises that this over rated gooner teaboy just got lucky against Croatia the better. One half decent cross and 3 wayward passes simply are not good enough for England. Maybe in 4 or 5 years he will make the grade

Reading some of the comments on here just goes to show what sort of so-called supporter England is attracting these days. Bigoted, senseless morons.

That appear to know nothing about football. Do they REALLY think that Beckham will be playing at the World Cup finals? Do me a favour. So why not use these games to blood new players and bring him on at the end to give others a rest?

Typical of the back-seat Manu, Lpool and Arsenal fans to run down Chelsea players that play for England. True fans of these clubs support the WHOLE England team no matter whom they play for.

England have three of the best defenders in the world in Ferdinand, Terry and Cole. Just need a top class right back. Afraid Brown or Johnson are all we have got. Unless Hargreaves goes in there.

As to Lampard and Gerrard. They still have not played a full 90mins as two central midfielders. In the second half on Saturday they did. And England scored 5 goals. With 2 assists and a delightful through ball to Walcott who set up goal number 3.
Like to see them play there wih Joe Cole on the wing. Thus releasing both of them to their great midfiield work that they can do.

SUPPORT ALL THE PLAYERS NOT JUST THOSE FROM YOUR OWN TEAM.

Truth be told bearing in mind the devastating economic crisis we're in, the players are vastly and obscenely overpaid. David Beckham must be the worst ever example of greed and the sooner he stops parasitically using the England team for Brand Beckham, free publicty and self edvancement the sooner the better!

Playing Gerrard as a holding midfielder is like putting a rolls royce in a rally championship.....

1 player who could drag England out of any situation is Gerrard but not with Fat Frank next to him.....

Hargreaves and Barry to sit behind Gerrard.....

Then any 2 strikers up front would benefit from the sheer power of gerrard...

it also solves the left side position as it becomes ashley coles job to run up and down the wing....

and despite last night cole is world class the only defender i have seen at international level that made ronaldo look like a muppett....

Look how things changed when Beckham came on. Only in England could you have a player of his ability dropped by the previous manager and kept wasting on the bench for the best part by the current one! The sooner the manager realises that without Beckham, England are a pub team the better... and as for Ashley the Cashley Cole... well the blokes nothing but a ****!

all we ever do is slag england off ! the italians scrape through games by the odd goal and no one bats an eye lid. if we play pretty poor and win every game 1 nil win the group at a canter go to the world cup play poor in the group games get thru and win remaining games on penalty shoot outs win world cup the nation would be ecstatic ! get off there backs everyone played 3 won 3 enough said

how on earth can so called fans say beckham was good is beyond me ,these sought of games against little minnos should be used for younger players to come into the team and who are playing in our premier league not one who is playing sunday league in another country and over the hill ,how wrong this will be if this guy surpasses the great bobby moore or the unthinkable happens passes peter shilton these were players worthy of there caps.love to know why owens is out of favour love to see him get a ton of caps

I hate the England team too; a bunch of arrogant wasters who dont give a **** about the national team and are motivated purely by the pursuit of megabucks and love of themselves. How can any of the team really expect the fans to respect them?

I thought we played very well beckham was tight rooney looked like he could have pushed forward more and cole strayed left which meant that lampard was in the hole more often than not. We need to stay in that system buy maybe pushing more people in to the hole then counter when we have wingers in available spaces

The 4-3-3 1st Half worked well for about 35 mins.
If we had scored 1 or 2 goals everyone would be raving about it? Control/movement was good just failed to hit the back of the net. Why change it so quickly if you feel as the manger it can work? Capello should stick with it and give it a fair chance. I quiet liked it, it made us look good as an attacking force. The only negative was Steven Gerrard. He is lost with Lampard in there. Its him or no one as the attacking/creative midfielder. On curret form its Lampard.
2nd Half we looked lost the defence and attack were too far apart with the midfield gone fishing.
The space was there and Kaz exploited it with their fast pacey runners. Improved in the last 10 when again we decided to try and keep the ball, pass and move. Hard game isn't it?
Conclusion 4-4-2 with Lampard or Gerrard not both.
Replace Upson (Not good enough) Woody Spurs will do. Keep the ball they can't beat you if you have the ball!!!
