Hamilton's Pussycat Doll had never heard of F1
WHEN Lewis Hamilton first met his Pussycat Dolls girlfriend he admitted: "She didn't even know what Formula One was."
McLaren's 23-year-old superstar is on the verge of becoming F1's youngest-ever world champion.
But when he met Nicole Scherzinger at the MTV music awards in Munich last November the sexy singer had no idea who he was.
Hamilton said: "I have never had trouble with girls. But being in F1 opens opportunities to go to places and meet people you would never have met before.
"However, quite a lot of girls I have met don't even know what F1 is. My girlfriend Nicole was like that.
"She said to me 'Is that NASCAR? What is that?'
"But the cool thing is that we share the same passions and drive and ambitions in life to do well."
Hawaiian-born beauty Scherzinger, 30, has even talked about buying a house with Hamilton after they holidayed in California and Spain during F1's summer break.
They partied together after his Monaco win and on Saturday he was pictured buying her lingerie in Paris. The duo also holidayed in Grenada - where Hamilton's grandfather Davidson lives - and she was on his arm at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday in London.
Hamilton, who leads the F1 standings by seven points with three races left, added: "My grandfather even told her I get my speed from him.
"He said it has been passed from him to my father to me. And he said it all with a straight face."

But Hamilton is not forgetting the other woman in his life after revealing he has taken his mum Carmen Lockhart on a shopping spree for her first designer clothes.
The News of the World revealed that care worker Lockhart sometimes regrets letting her then-teenage son go and live full-time with his father, Anthony, as he pursued his F1 dream.
Hamilton said: "Mum could never have afforded any designer clothes so I took her shopping recently and got to spend money on her. It was the best day ever.
"My mum gave me up to a certain extent. It was very difficult for her.
"Even today she sometimes cries and says she wishes she never did it.
"I hadn't seen her for a long time and we just had such a great lunch. It was fantastic."

The big different is Nicole, and the pussy cat dolls is a BIG JOKE with all the ambition in the world her group is no destiny's child. Nicole as no created talent either, her music is really a joke someone should informed Lewis Hamilton, that his girlfriend and her friends is what is wrong with the music industry.
Everytime when her so-called singing group comes on I change channel. She should take that "passions and drive and ambitions" where else because she got no talent and she no Madonna or Beyonce, Rihanna she is a big time bore.

Good on you Lewis. You are a true Genlteman cos it's very tough in those situations. My mum left me when I was only 5yrs. That was in Grenada.
