Defoe does the double

SPURS star Jermain Defoe may be struggling to get a game for his club-but we can reveal he's been playing a devastating one-two OFF the pitch.

And the little forward's tactics as a LOVE RAT could revolutionise the way footballers cheat on their WAGS.

For Defoe opted for a TWIN STRIKER system when he decided to two-time fiancée Charlotte Meares.

He picked Rachel Cameron-a blonde spitting image of Charlotte-so people kept MISTAKING THEM for each other, keeping his shameful secret safe.

And, using modern coaching methods, cunning Defoe regularly ROTATED his unsuspecting lookalikes, spending plenty of time with both so they wouldn't find out.

"Even my nan was fooled," says Rachel, blowing the whistle on Defoe's Dirty Double. "Once she said she'd seen me on the telly with Jermain arriving at Browns nightclub. I was a bit puzzled-I hadn't even been there.

"Then another friend insisted she'd seen me at a Spurs game with Jermain. When I said I wasn't there, she told me, 'I saw you. You were wearing a short skirt!'"

"Now I know it must have been Charlotte. We've both been taken in."

Even Defoe HIMSELF seems to have got confused between them. Because he fell for Rachel, 23, and began offering her the same deal he's promised 21-year-old Charlotte-a permanent fixture as his WIFE.

Furious Rachel has now spoken out about their four-month relationship, revealing the SKINFLINT side of the England star, their rampant sex romps-and how his manhood, which he nicknamed The Hulk, resembled a NEAPOLITAN ICE CREAM.

The pair got together in July last year when brazen Defoe, a former childhood pal of Rachel's, followed her home after flirting with her in London club Kabaret.

"He was mesmerised by my 30D boobs. In fact, he talked about my boobs a lot!" she says. "When I drove home I could see him in my mirror in his flashy black DB9 Aston Martin. He was giggling away and flashing his lights. I could see he was having fun.

"But I couldn't believe it when he drove right up my cul-de-sac."

Stunned Rachel let the star into her flat and it wasn't long before they were kissing. "We lay down together on my bed and he told me, 'You know I always liked you.

"Then we started kissing and touching each other. He tried several times for sex but I stopped him because it was too soon," she said.

What Rachel didn't know was that boobsmacked Defoe had been dating busty Charlotte Meares-star of ITV2's Wags Boutique-since October 2005. And now he was after a cup double.

"All the time, he kept complimenting me about my breasts. He said they must be fake because they are so huge.

"When he couldn't find any scars he joked I must have had them done through my belly button."

For three weeks Defoe visited Racchel's east London home EVERY NIGHT and always stayed over even though she kept him at bay. "Then one day I gave in-and it was the start of a very active sex life. He told me I was the best he'd ever been with. He was very confident in bed.

"He used to have a nickname for his 'thing'. He wasn't very modest and always called it 'The Hulk'.

"It was quite distinctive because he has a strange skin pigmentation down there-which means it's the colours of Neapolitan ice cream.

"We'd usually only have normal sex-but Jermain was pretty freaky and used to talk about doing lots of kinky things I wasn't into," she says.

All the while the 5ft 7in rat was also seeing Charlotte-but Rachel thought she was the only one because he never tried to hide their relationship.

"He would drive to my flat bold as brass and then kick the ball around in the street with the neighbourhood kids. They loved him," says Rachel.

"He certainly wasn't sneaking round wearing shades and a cap pulled down low. He was happy to show me off.

"He took me out lots of times. When I called him on the England tour bus, he'd put me on loudspeaker so his teammates could hear-and they'd tease me about my Cockney accent. I certainly didn't feel like a naughty little secret. Plus Jermain was always building my hopes up about our future. His nickname for me was Monkey and he'd tell me I was the one for him.

"After we made love he'd cuddle up and say, 'Imagine what it's going to be like when we have all our little Defoes running around'.

"And once when he saw me reading a wedding magazine he kissed me on the top of the head and said, 'Babe, one day that will happen for me and you'. I just welled up with excitement at the thought of us being married."

But Defoe-whose scoring record has failed to impress Spurs boss Martin Jol-soon started missing sitters as he juggled his striking blondes.

Estate agent receptionist Rachel says: "For my birthday that August, he promised to take me on holiday to Dubai-but it never happened.

"He also told me he had a present waiting for me. But it never materialised. I never even got a card from him.

"In fact the whole time I was with him, he only gave me TWO presents-a Justin Timberlake CD and a diamond ring with a tiny chip for a stone."

Rachel found Defoe so much tighter than Tottenham's defence. "Whenever we went out for a meal. I always had to go halves with him," she says.

"I'd even pay for his petrol when he took me out in his Aston Martin."

Then the penny began to drop. "My friends started telling me they had seen paparazzi shots of me and Jermain at certain events in the magazines-which confused me because I'd never gone," says Rachel. "But I still didn't figure out Jermain was dating someone else who looked just like me."

It wasn't until the end of November 2006-when adverts started running for TV series called Wags Boutique-that Rachel realised the truth.

"I opened a magazine one day to discover there was a WAG on the show called Charlotte Meares being billed as Mrs Jermain Defoe," she says.

"It was like a dagger through my heart. My world came crashing down. I just couldn't believe it.

"I rang him and let rip. He told me, 'Look, you don't understand. It's not how it looks. It's just for publicity'.

"He also said Charlotte had set her sights on him at a club and basically picked him up. While there was never an 'I love you' moment, he told me, 'You know I've got love for you. You know I care about you'.

"He made me think Charlotte wasn't his choice-but I was so devastated by his betrayal I ended the relationship."

Defoe even went round to her flat begging her to take him back. "But I just didn't feel we had anything more to talk about," she says.

"Now I've also found out he'd come and stay with me whenever Charlotte was visiting her mum in Hertfordshire or was away on modelling assignments.

"Whenever he was away from me he'd tell me he was round at his mum's.

"Maybe he told Charlotte the same thing when he was at my place.

"And maybe she's just as naïve as I was." Defoe-who is 25 today-got engaged to Charlotte last Valentine's Day. Rachel feels sorry for her.

"She needs to know he's a rat and he's been getting away with it for too long," she says.
