Britain's next big ring hope had expected to fact Vitali's younger brother Wladimir, the IBF and WBO title holder - but instead he's been offered a crack at WBC heavyweight champion Vitali.
Ukrainian Vitali, 37, is 6ft 7in, weighs almost 18st and ended a four-year exile last month when he dismantled Samuel Peter in eight rounds to reclaim his old crown.
Haye, who stopped Monte Barrett in the fifth round at the O2 Arena eight days ago, has already had talks with the brothers' manager Bernd Bonte.
Haye, 28, said: "People say I should go after Wladimir, he's a bit chinny and he's been knocked out.
"But I'll go for the solid rock, Vitali. I watched the Vitali-Peter fight, and I said to myself: 'Is this it, is this the top of the mountain I've got to get to?
"There were so many things I can exploit. If I trade with him I'll come off second best. I'll be out of range, come in, throw bombs and get back out of range. I'll make him look stupid."

David needs to stick to his orginal chosen oppenant Waldimir as he is the weaker of the two brothers and then go for Vitali.
I don't think Waldimir really fancies it so getting his big bro to fight David first and in their veiw beating David will remove his problem while saving face.
Is David our next champ?
Againts Waldimir YES!
Againts Vitali maybe!
One thing we do know is that David has kawhoonas the size of water mellons so he'll probley fight Vitali.

David doesn't have enough gas to beat decent heavy weight .He didn't have enough power to knock the old man Barrett out, 5 times knock down, pathetic big mouth loser
