Loan deal on cards for unsettled winger
LIVERPOOL are ready to offload motormouth Ryan Babel to Bayern Munich.
Boss Rafa Benitez lost patience after the Holland star complained about his lack of starts for the club in midweek.
He will be loaned to Louis van Gaal's side with a view to a £9million move in the summer.
A source said: "Rafa has totally blanked Babel since his outburst. He understands some of his concerns but has made it clear to the player more than once he will only play who he believes to be his strongest XI and won't budge.
"Rafa cannot give Babel the assurances he needs with the World Cup coming up so he will let him go if he's not happy.
"The manager's only concern with this is that he won't be getting any money to improve the squad from the move."
Former Ajax star Babel has only made 24 Premier League starts since arriving at Anfield for £11.5m in the summer of 2007.
Holland boss Bert van Marwijk has told Babel he will only go to the World Cup if he plays regularly.
But Babel's representatives are already working to secure a perfect escape route.
Van Gaal has known Babel since he was a child and is confident the 22-year-old can make his mark at Bayern and the club have no problem taking on his £40,000-per-week wages.
The Dutch coach's ongoing feud with Italian striker Luca Toni is also likely to give Babel an opportunity to play up front with either Mario Gomez or Miroslav Klose.

As an Englishman I'm more embarrassed over my fellow countrymen's spelling and grammar than I am the performances of Ryan Babel. I've read every comment on here and cannot take any of them seriously because they look like the writings of a 6 year old. Quite pathetic really. Let me assist you all. "You're" is short for YOU ARE, you lose the "A" and put a ' in it's place. "YOUR" is used like this.... YOUR CAT, YOUR CAR, YOUR TEAM etc.... If YOU'RE not clever enough to write in YOUR own language then don't try to be smart on here, YOU just make YOURselves like morons. Don't get me started on THEIR, THERE, THEY'RE... We'll be here all night. Honestly guys, sort YOURsleves out. Half sharp doesn't do YOU justice.

Season 1 babel played and did well
Season 2 Babel could only play left wing, Gerrard/Torres/Kuyt were undroppable.
Riera/Benayoun were simply better than him.
Season 3 Babel vs N'Gog - look at how N'Gog has improved and worked hard taken his chances, he's also a better finisher, better in the air and better TEAM player. Get rid of babel, N'Gog is a fraction of his price and is better.

Daniel Agger, Fernanado Torres and Javier Mascherano have scored similar. The goal was a great one, but, I am hoping Babel stays and fights for his place,

The sooner he goes the better. He's had chance after chance, but he failed to do the job he was bought for.
Rafa has tried and tried with him and it's been to no avail. He got a little knock on his ankle last week and sat down crying like the babay he is. He could and should have got up and ran it off, he proved he's NOT a liverpool player by throwing his dummy out of the pram. Good riddance cryababy babel.

How can anyone say Rafa has ZERO man management skills? Under Rafa Torres has gone from zero to HERO. Gerrard has improved massively. Bebayounn has improved. Ngog and Insua have improved. Reina has become best keeper in Prem. Agger has been awesome at times.
Yes Rafa has had problems with big heads like Keane and Babel and work shy fools like Alonso who had 2 seasons in a row being very poor but he still was able to make a massive profit on Alonso.
Rafa aint perfect and hasnt had a perfect record in any department but he is very strong in all departments- transfers, man management and tactics etc. Not as strong as Fergusson but then again who is?

Anyone who can kick a ball can score a goal. Rafa has shown too much faith in Babel, has given him far too many opportunities already. It's up to the player to prove his worth and he hasn't done that with any consistency. I'm sure a youtube video could be compiled showing at least a whole minute's worth of Ryan's finest moments, but he isn't the player we expected him to be. He contributes nothing to the team. Bone idle with a terrible attitude - if we get £9m for him I'd be made up.

I hate RAFA, If Ryan Babel was under the wing of Fergy or Wenger, he would be an absolute GEM! The goal he scored against Lyon could only be scored by Gerrard and no other in the Liverpool line up.
If Babel played week in good bad or inderferent regardless he would grow and grow and then and only then would we see the real Ryan Babel.
Benitez has Nil man management skills. he is so inept.
Keep Babel, see him out on loan but get rid of the manager then see what his replacement can do with Ryan.

Ribery is too expensive, and to all reds who believe that Mourinhio is the man to change Liverpools fortunes, you can NOT afford him either, also he wants to go to Utd so really under Benitez you have been done. The kopites also are making a massive mistake supporting this man, as if the fans are content for this fall from grace to happen then you can bet youre life on it, it will happen.

Attitude is everything. Ngog has taken his chance, grown as a player and has made his mark. Babel has had chances, moaned, made some stupid decisions on the pitch. It's for the player to show he wants to stay and belong...Babel has SOME talent, but he lacks the desire and passion to be at LFC.

babel was a bad buy and a complete waste of 11mill that cud have been spent on a huge list of wingers or strikers that are proven at the highest level. i dout we wud get 9mill for a player the world and there gran know to be rubbish and a player rafa wants rid of quickly. lfc need an injection of cash. and for it to be spent wisely or lfc will fall from grace over the next 5yrs, as other clubs spend spend spend

It's a pity he's still a Liverpool player. Babel's a liability most of the time. Totally clueless, lazy and has no passion for the game. I've never found myself disliking one of our own players so much, good riddance to him.

Quiet the contrary,Benitez does not know his best XI because there's never been the best XI during his time at Anfield.Players have been shuffled like a pack of cards,frustrated and given brief stints in the team.The recent outburst by Babel is understandable,he is a very talented player who has been wasted by this 'Blameetez'.
Benitez is killing Liverpool slowly while the banner waving brigade stand aside and cheer him on.If anyone has to GO it is Blameetez.He said judge me after 5 years,now its 5 years and he is blaming the Americans.He has been given time to build a title winning team but through his arrogance,Liverpool have become the laughing stock of the Premiership.I cant believe that we are now our ambitions have been reduced to fighting for a top four finish-PATHETIC for a team of our stature.
Giving this man a five year contract on the basis of one 4-1 win against Man Utd and a protest in support of Blameetez from a few misguided fans was and still is shocking.Liverpool will end up fighting relegation if were not careful,just wait and see.

It's true that Babel is talented but it takes more than talent alone to make it the Premier League especially at a club like Liverpool where expectations are high.
With the limited funds available to Rafa it might be tempting to keep him in the hope that he might come good but every time he gives Babel a start he wastes it.

I wouldn't give Babbel away in a christmas cracker and if I did you can guarantee that whoever got the plastic whistle would have hours of entertainment, whilst the one who got Babbel would be wondering...WHY?, WHAT?, IS THERE ANY POINT?, WHERE DID YOU BUT THESE CHEAP CRACKERS, NOT GETTING THESE AGAIN, DON'T WANT TO SWAP FOR YOUR WHISTLE DO YOU?

Some players are not meant to be with certain teams, its a fact of life. Look at Diego Forlan, useless at Man U and a star in Spain. Babel should leave and if he can get the plane to stop off in Manchester and pick up Nani on the way that would be great.
