HANGELAND TAMES JOKER BULLARD

Tigers set for January clear-out

HANGELAND: No messing
HANGELAND: No messing

GIANT defender Brede Hangeland says not even serial joker Jimmy Bullard dared toy with him at Fulham.

Hull ace Bullard still owes former boss Chris Coleman £2,500 after charging multiple drinks to his hotel room on a Fulham pre-season tour.

But the 6ft 5in Norwegian said: "I said to him early on don't do anything to me and he respected that.

"I am not a scary character but people do respect me.

"Jimmy's a funny guy - and a big person in the changing room.

"He's always in a good mood and made people laugh. We miss Jimmy in that sense and on the pitch."

Meanwhile, Hull are preparing for a major clear-out in January.

Monday's return of Bullard and Anthony Gardner - their two most expensive signings - gives Phil Brown the green light for an overhaul when the transfer window opens.

Craig Fagan, Bryan Hughes, Richard Garcia, Peter Halmosi, George Boateng, Daniel Cousin and Caleb Folan will all go.

Hull go to Fulham buoyed by their victory over Wigan two weeks ago and with memories of their win at Craven Cottage last season.

Kevin Kilbane said: "The last time was my first win in a Hull City shirt so that made it important for me."

Like most Fulham fans, i'm fed up reading about how the other team lost the game and not how Fulham won it

Bullard was great for us and was an integral part of our Great escape, but what an absolute tool for threatening to go on strike unless he got a new deal when he had 18 months of a contract to go. the guy is THE over enflated ego of the balloon that has be been blowing across the US and deserves the pantomine boos on Monday.
