Hatton Promotions have landed a lucrative eight- fight deal with Sky and stage their first televised show at Manchester Velodrome on Friday.
Birmingham's Matthew Macklin tops the bill against Finn Amin Asikainen for the vacant European middleweight title.
And Hatton insisted: "I think I can become the biggest promoter in Britain.
"When Frank Warren and Frank Maloney started out they thought, 'I want to be the best'. I'm sure they never believed they would get to the stages they have reached, just like me as a fighter.
"I'm the new kid on the block and I am not saying I am the best thing since sliced bread, but I am starting at a much higher playing field.
"I have got British and Commonwealth champions that I have signed, and my first show on Sky is a European title fight."
Hatton, beaten just twice in 47 fights, says he'll pay top wages and Macklin is getting in excess of £60,000 for his fight.
"In years gone by promoters have always been seen as the enemy to boxers and it is a shame it is that way," he added.
"I have already made money and still want to take some, but I'm happy getting my buzz from the boxing."

Ricky you will fail as you are to greedy and you do not have a clue about match making if you stayed with Frank Warren you would still be champion as Frank knows how to make the match at the right time when he feels his fighter is ready and the apponent is ready to be taken a great skill that is why Frank is top all fighters should try and join Frank's stable and not greedy users like Hatton, the same could be said about Prince Nassem if he stayed with Frank he would have been champion and around alot longer.

No reason why he won't succeed. The others have been around too long and the time is right. Especially if the fighters believe in Ricky.
Good Luck mate

Excellent new career choice for Mr. Hatton as it is a business he knows inside out and he will have played the game from both sides of the fence as a fighter and a promoter. I am sure he will treat his fighters fairly and pay them a fair cut of their purse money, at least i hope so! Good luck Richard.

Good luck with your new venture Ricky.
I was at your promotion in Newport. It was spectacular. As well as an extremely exciting card to satisfy the avid boxing fan's appetite, the screening of the weigh in and pre fight interviews on the large screens all contributed to a complete 'boxing experience'.
It was a great night!!

He had a good career as a boxer and I think this is better for him than risking his health by continuing to fight.
