EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR was upstaged on his City debut by a £950-a-week striker rejected as a teenager by Chelsea.

Jeffrey Ntuka, on the Stamford Bridge books six years ago, hit the first-half winner to clinch the Vodacom Challenge for the Chiefs.

Adebayor, who arrived from Arsenal last week for £25million and will earn £170,000 a week, played the whole game in Pretoria but looked well off the pace.

WOLVES flopped 2-0 at Bristol City with Danny Haynes' right-footer and Nicky Maynard's 30-yarder corker doing the damage.

Just a start of that nature can make things work smartly for a man like adebayor whom people truly want to perform beyond with arsenal in the past three seasons.
Am hoping he can cope with everything at the East lands starting this season

city have still 3 or 4 players to come in yet..and your all writing them off..we'll see when we get into the top 4 this season..Arsenal won't make the top 4 this season.All the talk seems players jumping the sinking ship
