THIERRY HENRY has emerged as the major influence behind Tottenham's move for Inter Milan midfielder Patrick Vieira.

Gunners fans will be shocked to learn ex-Arsenal striker Henry recommended his former captain to Harry Redknapp.

The Spurs manager explained: "When I spoke to Thierry about bringing in Patrick, he was all for it and said, 'The man would give you so much presence'.

Mentality

"Patrick has a real winning mentality and he will make the kids respond to him.

"Wilson Palacios could learn from him. They could all learn. He's a proper professional."

Vieira was a dominant figure during his nine years at Arsenal claiming three Premier League titles and four FA Cups.

Redknapp is confident that Vieira, 33, is still capable of having a special influence at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are also keen on Manchester City's Richard Dunne to ease his central defensive crisis with Jonathan Woodgate, Ledley King and Michael Dawson all struggling.

We had a head cleaner at my place of work who left and then returned again some years later as just a regular cleaner, it did not work. As much as I love Patrick and would hate to see him in a Spurs shirt, I can't see him playing under Fabregas' leadership and I don't think Arsene would even think of taking the captains armband off Cesc. Remarriages seldom work second time around.

Wenger please bring vieira to arsenal back.... Vieira will be good boost to our young players..If Wenger put up the request, surely Vieira will snub Spurs and play for us.....

y doesnt wenger bring him back. he myt be 33, bt cn add back up o even rejuvenate his glory days at a club he loves. he will also provide experience and bulk up that midfield n will be able to teach the lads sumthings
