Cink, who is one under, said: "After this I'm off for two weeks and I'm going to Montana.
"We're staying in lodges and going to do some hiking. But it can be dangerous up there if you make mistakes.
"You have to keep the bears away and be aware of the smell of food on your clothes."
Cink's fellow American Jim Furyk used his heartbreak from last year's Open at Royal Birkdale to spur him on. The world number nine recorded a round of level par to stay at one under for the tournament.
It was a huge improvement from his third round at Birkdale where mistakes saw him dropped down the field.
He said: "I was really pleased with the round. It gives me the opportunity to wake up with a chance to win the Open.
"Last year on the Saturday I played really poorly and knocked myself out of contention, so I just focused on getting in the house with a good score."
BOO WEEKLEY warmed up for the final round with a few cocktails and a basket of chicken wings.
The American has been staying at the nearby Turnberry Hotel but has been leaving traditional Scottish broth and haggis alone.
Weekley said: "I will go to the hotel, have a couple of cocktails and go to bed. I'm drinking one called St Mongoose, it's pretty good. There is beer in it.
"I like being in Scotland and the people love golf. We just need to bring some American food over here for them.
"I have mostly been eating chicken wings. I only stick to things I can spell."
