CARDIFF CITY new-boy Paul Quinn claims his wild days are over as he targets the 'quiet life' in Wales.

The £300,000 Scottish defender hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons last year after a nightmare three months at former club Motherwell.

Quinn's roll of dishonour began when he was rushed to hospital after his jaw was broken in a nightclub attack last April. He was then mugged at gun-point on holiday in Florida, just a month before he was convicted of assault and ordered to serve 150 hours' community service.

But Quinn said: "I decided when I made the move down here that it was going to be a fresh start.

"I was tarred with a horrible brush at some points, but for me this is a clean slate and I'm looking forward to it.

"The manager and the club are aware of what's happened in the past, but as long as it stays in the past, I'll be happy to move on."
