BENJANI - loan deal

HULL boss Phil Brown wants to take Manchester City striker Benjani on a season-long loan.

The Zimbabwe ace, 30, has fallen down the Eastlands pecking order since the captures of Roque Santa Cruz and Carlos Tevez.

Brown has already failed to sign Fraizer Campbell and Daryl Murphy - and he faces competition from Portsmouth for Benjani.

it is most unfortunate that hughes has failed to get the best out of benjani and thus reduce him down his packing order of strikers. let it be known to hughes that benjani is not a goal getter,he is the kind of a striker who runs for the entire 90 minutes for the team and attracting a lot of defenders' attention thereby leaving his fellow strikers unmarked. I am not in anycase trying to compare him to tevez,ade/cruz but benji is a good player.
believe me you City might have the funds but Hughes is the weakest link coz he lacks the requsite shrewdness to take them to the promised land.
