DAVID BECKHAM is ready to make a sensational return to the Premier League if his dream return to AC Milan falls through.

Beckham is back with LA Galaxy after his six-month loan spell with the Italians.

But he is expected to go out on loan again when Galaxy's MLS season ends.

Becks would prefer to return to the San Siro but has not ruled out a return to England if a further spell at AC cannot be negotiated.

He has been linked with Spurs and Manchester City.

A pal said: "David's had a chat with England boss Fabio Capello and has been told he has to keep on playing at a high level in the run-up to the next World Cup if he wants to be involved in South Africa.

"So David is certain to go out on loan again once he's completed the MLS season.

"AC are the favourites. He had such a good time there and was so impressed with the club and the people there."

beckham is to good for USA there all crap at football but tim haword galaxy are lucky to have some one like beckham he should go to aston villa or chelsea though they have a stonger time to head the ball though there is no one big to head the ball at spurs

MLS Soccer is a total joke.

I can understand why Beckham would want to stay on ACMilan instead.
The teams in Europe play with far more passion than here in the U.S.
&&Donovan was wrong to say what he did. It just shows how unprofessional he is. && hes the U.S. MVP??. Are you joking?.
Watta disgrace.

Galaxy is lucky David EVER agreed to play with them.
If i was in his position && the team i was playing for sucked as much as Galaxy does i would just leave.
so seeing how David Beckham hasn't left yet shows how much he's trying to fix things....Good luck with that.

I think david Beckham is well fit and his children are sweet but i dont like victoria (POSH)............

By Jessica . Posted July 16 2009 at 12:13 PM.

He should never have gone to the States, what a bore it must be to play with players that are League of Ireland standard Spurs would be a good fit for him

By edd. Posted July 15 2009 at 12:52 PM.

Becks took a big chance coming to USA and everyone over there should be grateful not trying to stab him in the back because he wants to play international foota and make the England WC squad.

Gutless Landon Donavans recent comments only underline his lack of Class and respect for DB.. Landon Americas best player what a joke that is..how many times has he tried to make it in Europe and the outcome is always the same get back on the plane not good enough

All you Beckham idiotic fans - how many goals did he score for RM from free kicks or even corners and how many trophies did he won at RM?
Leave him in America where he belongs - it will be an insult to Cantena/Ronaldo to bring him back to OT and hand him the number 7 jersey. That jersey should go to the next genius and not a has been.

By Lorraine. Posted July 13 2009 at 1:20 PM.

ManU need young, skillful, mobile and strong midfielders - in the form of a Aniesta/Zabi (not a slow donkey who thinks the game revolves around free kicks/corner kicks only)
I hope he doesn't come to SA, because we would like to see an England team full of Rooney's/Gerrards/Lampards who makes a difference.
Please do me a favour and watch him playing in the MLS, no interest, no desire and very lazy. Absolutly correct what Donovan said - even the commentators picked up on it.

By Lorraine Coetzee. Posted July 13 2009 at 1:13 PM.

Dude plz come back to United... Bekcham wearing the No 7 jersey for Man Utd is legendary... plz come back to old trafford... fergie plz get him back...

P.S: MLS sucks, just like rest of america...

P.S 2: For all u idiotic ppl from UK, in asia atleast we consider Becks to be bigger than ur queen... so start respecting ur true heroes...

DB, head back to Man U with a minimum wage. I'm sure AF & all your ex- team mates will welcome you with open arms! Put back on MU's jersey 7. Don't ever opt for other premier league teams.I'm sure you are a loyalist to Man U. Don't let us think otherwise! Come home DB!

I saw Beckham play for Galaxy in Vancouver ... what a joke the team is no wonder he wants out ! I've seen Sunday league teams better than the MLS teams, in fact even I could play better ! . You Yanks have no idea about supporting a team , the whole game was played in deathly silence apart from when Beckham had the ball and then the place was in uproar . The only name I saw on a galaxy shirt was Beckham and the place was swarming with Man utd and England shirts bearing his name . You cannot doubt Beckhams dedication to the game , You don't hear him whining about being tired after sooooo many games unlike the Chelsea players . Can't see JT giving it his all at Beckhams age JT's just proving it's all about money not the love of the game. If the rest of the England squad played with as much passion and dedication as becks we may actually get somewhere !

By sue. Posted July 12 2009 at 11:11 PM.

Well, if Donovan is the best player in Galaxy then that says it all - a joke . He should never have gone there, what a step down. And funny how their attendances dropped when he left for Milan. This man has played for 3 of the best teams in the world, he has nothing to prove. He's so far above the quality of football in america its sad. Sure we may not know about soccer in mls, but who cares, its the leagues in England, Spain and Italy that count.
Stick to what you're good at.

By Jan. Posted July 12 2009 at 10:50 PM.

he's far too good for the MLS and american football, american's don't have a clue about good football anyway, the league is poor and so is the quality. someone of his ability and class is wasting their time there. he went on a pilgrimage to try and improve the league but he's just wasted his time and energy. might as well bang his head against a brick wall as there isn't a goal every 20 seconds to keep them interested. can't think of a premiership side that wouldn't want him in the squad.

By marleeeeeen depreciation society. Posted July 12 2009 at 10:58 PM.

the mans still class. and i think anybody would have becs in there team if they new anything about football that is!!

By eamonn in canada. Posted July 12 2009 at 9:17 PM.

You cann't knock Becks down, all those people that have tried must be thinking what have they got to do. Well they cann't because he loves football, he's a great icon and most of all he loves England. I just wish we had 10 more players with his passion that wanted England to win the world cup,and if we did maybe just maybe we could. Good luck Becks you deserve it, and after that goal against Greece well who can ever forget that last few seconds of the game that last free kick, who didn't say come on Becks put it in and with true grit you did.The whole of England jumped up and screemed when you did and just for that you deserve a Knighthood one day and i'm sure you will.

By Norman Terry. Posted July 12 2009 at 8:39 PM.

Linked to City? No thanks. We are now Wannabees not has-beens. Let the reds have you back you gay pin-up. I mean if Owen got there you surely have a chance.

By pistolboy. Posted July 12 2009 at 6:25 PM.

Post from Sandip has got it right - he is a 'class' player & love him or hate him he has a lot to offer England.

When he is on the pitch there is a mentality that there always is a chance to nick a goal because his passing is so accurate - the rest of the team work harder to get into position because they know the pass will come....

Granted he won't be on the pitch for 90 minutes, but exactly what you need when the chips are down & you need to pull something out the bag.

By Lee. Posted July 12 2009 at 5:27 PM.

As a galaxy fan I can say we don't want or need beckham . Donovan is the best player and leader of our team. We all back what he said about beckham and don't want him back here. All you Brits have no clue about mls so shut it .

By Karl. Posted July 12 2009 at 5:41 PM.

David Beckham is a legend no matter what. There is nobody in the world who match his skills these days. compare him with any midfielder of top clubs, no one is near enough of his hold on ball. God he is amazing.
And he will do great again in premier league.

By jim. Posted July 12 2009 at 3:39 PM.

Landon donovan was right beckham is treating the mls as a joke.First of all he should never have taken the captains armband when he arrived at the galaxy, you have to earn that right and for him to walk right in and take it was wrong.Right there he has already created tension in the dressing room. This man clearly does'nt care about the galaxy he only cares about himself.

By paul spencer. Posted July 12 2009 at 3:17 PM.

I think wind cannot blow a football just right pass net.he is king of setpieces.cummon becks show that you really worth it in safrica

By Sajeevjoshi. Posted July 12 2009 at 1:26 PM.

Im a spurs fan and would love david in the squad!david is a fantastic footballer, his ability to pass a ball across 40+ yards and it land at a players feet is quality, its plain to see there is no english midfielder who can assist so many goals as him, and also bag a few himself. The recent games where he has come on as a sub the England team seems to lift with his presence. he will be a fantasic assist to any premiership team!

By Dean. Posted July 12 2009 at 1:14 PM.

What a great Barry replacement for Aston Villa plus we would play him in the centre where he has been featuring for England.

Beckham would be watched by Fabio too as we are such a young exiting team full of English potential.

Come on MON sort it out!

By george. Posted July 12 2009 at 11:39 AM.

Still find it hard to believe that Beckham plays for LA Galaxy. This is a country that thinks football is a joke. Just over a million people watch this game, compare that with the US population. I think Backham regrets this insane move just to please the wife so she can hang out with her fake new friends. It's what you do on the pitch at the highest level not in some mickey mouse league.

By Warren. Posted July 12 2009 at 11:13 AM.

Maybe this is the marque signing that Chelsea are promising? In center midfield with Essien and Lamps, what a midfield three!

By Russ. Posted July 12 2009 at 10:00 AM.

I always thought the LA move was a fantastic move for Becks, but that it was afew years TOO EARLY.

Not featuring much at Madrid, and dropped by his beloved England, he thought he was in the twilight of his career and he looked after number one - understandably.

By Steve. Posted July 12 2009 at 10:02 AM.

Here's a guy who can put the ball on the money time after time. You can go past as many players as you like but if you cant deliver a killer pass then just gets wasted. Becks has def got something to offer at this coming world cup if he is fit.

By Roger. Posted July 12 2009 at 10:09 AM.

Bring him back to Old Trafford

By Pierre Lauri (Malta). Posted July 12 2009 at 10:28 AM.

all this talk about david beckham being a mercenary is a load of rubbish he is first and foremost a footballer then a business man but boy is he good at both look at his bank balance

By geoff . Posted July 12 2009 at 9:27 AM.

as a liverpool fan i would love to see him at anfield, it wouldnt happen though.

true legend

By james green. Posted July 12 2009 at 9:36 AM.

Becks, imo signed for Galaxy as Mclown dropped him and understandably he feared his much loved international career was over. However, continued good form, a new manager with sense and a set, picked him again. He thought his career was on the down so cashed in, in the US - I'm a scouser, even I can appreciate that. Bottom line is, no one has more passion or eagerness to play for England, something needed - he's STILL the best deliverer of the ball - he can bring something to the squad. SO if playing in a competitive none mickey mouse league promotes his chances of playing for England - good luck to him. The media and fickle morons need to think a bit more before criticising.

By Jamesie. Posted July 12 2009 at 9:35 AM.

I think "Becks" next move should be to Threshers so he can turn water into wine for them ... yawn ....

By Roy. Posted July 12 2009 at 9:03 AM.

I would love to see becks at united again. For me even at his age there is no better passer of the ball in world football then becks.

By sandip. Posted July 12 2009 at 7:37 AM.

I'd love to see Becks back at United. 20 minutes a game, he only has to drop a perfect ball onto Owen or Roo's foot to earn his money. Who can forget the Scholes volley from the becks corner, you don't get that kind of class from a waster like Nani or Fletcher.

By nrflkred. Posted July 12 2009 at 6:48 AM.

lots of jealous people here. just cuz he earns lot doesn't mean he's a joke. how many times does he have to goddamn prove himself. i'd rather see the guy in newcastle than in city the biggest joke in football

By city is a joke. Posted July 12 2009 at 4:59 AM.

ENGLAND MUST have David in their plans as a player or on the management staff,he has so much to offer, dont waste this man quality and experience,it would a crime to let him drift

By dougan. Posted July 12 2009 at 4:55 AM.

David Beckham..... we all respected you until you chose money over football and went and wasted your career in america. And now it hasnt gone your way you are looking for a way back. You owe america a lot after they paid you ridiculous amounts to sign for a joke team. I am a lfc fan and it hurts to admit you was a good player. But the circus you created and still manage to create will follow you and will make you a joke for the rest of your life.

By Chris. Posted July 12 2009 at 3:04 AM.

the idea that beckham can play at premier league level is simply a joke. Read the Milans fans forums, none of them want him to return to their club. Beckham was a non-entity in Milan, at least on the field, and the thought of him playing for any stature of club in England is utterly absurd. Capello should stop stringing a squad player along like this, get a focus back on the players that will be crucial to our chances of success and leave Beckham and his pointless celebrity where it belongs, in the past.

By rob. Posted July 12 2009 at 2:51 AM.

I keep reading about David Beckham's dreams. His dream to play for ManU, his dream to play for England, his dream to play for Real Madrid, etc etc. This guy is the luckiest sod alive as dream after dream gets fulfilled.

Lets me honest in his prime he won nothing for England and now he is too old and past it.

By Tony Gyles. Posted July 12 2009 at 1:57 AM.

I think mr Beckham is one of the icons football other players should have the spirit that he has. I hope to see in s/africa Beckham as you would lead my favorite seclection as Captain.
