The state we are in is due to the inept finances and naiveness of our two owners. Nothing much is mentioned of the support to Benitez as he has to grapple with all the news of madrid and barca chasing our players. No stadium ..... no adequate funds unless gaffer sells some of his prized possessions ( alonso n mascha , riera) . Worst situation would be when benitez ask to leave next season( madrid perhaps) due to all the support he has rec'd not forgetting all the fans yearning for the 19th. Torres would be disillusioned and Gerrard perhaps might just want to try for greener pastures...... The End of Liverpool.... unless the owners get out and let someone better and richer run LFC.........I hope!!!!!!!!

Trust me ,Riera is world class and i do not see Rafa letting him go.It would be suicide selling our sttars now that we are close to reclaiming our CUP!!

f we sell alonso to real 4 25 mill............ we could buy Ashley young for 17 mill, hes young, english and class. we wud still have 10mill to find a replacment 4 alonso.

why not sign joe cole since he's english and may be cheaper due to his long abscence...if not, silva will also be a very good option...if not both, sell riera, dossena, babel???, el zhar, voronin, leto and we should have enough for both

Riera compared to silva come on its like comparing ronaldo to to barry if liverpool sign silva you will see a big difference in our left lank.
Signing silva selling riera and keeping babel on bench for sub for silva would be great.

If they cannot secure the services of David Silva or David Villa Rafa should try & get Mata (Juan Manuel Mata Garcia ) the guy maybe small but has a canny knack of finding the back of the net & when he's not scoring goals he's setting them up ( his La Liga stats 11 goals, 13 assists ) If you want English players Chelsea has Joe Cole coming back from injury I know, but still capable, Adam Johnson & Josh Walker both from Boro both quite young I know. But so far all I've read are articles saying we should replace this player with that player when the Question should be do we have players that can play in those positions already? Can Carragher play a holding midfield position allowing Agger & Skrtel to be the central defenders this will allow Johnson, Aurelio, Insua & Dossena (who I believe can't defend & should be shipped off to Juve) to roam into the midfield pushing your wingers higher up the flanks. But all this is speculation & conjecture until they leave! I hope they stay but I won't hold my breathe!!!

The decision by the two Mr. Liverpool's Moores and Parry to sell to the two US citizens is looking increasingly daft. How can two know nothings be given charge? Simple really, two other know sweet all about LFC and football generally sold out to them? I do believe both teams will go in for him, he's a class player. Liverpool do need him more, as a winger on the left or right or as foil for Torres. Madrid may go in for him simply to force Rafa's hand with the Alonso deal. As we can see with the Alonso & Madrid thing the Spanish won't go further for a player than their own valuation. Liverpool surely value Silva more than Madrid. He would be a very important player at Pool he knows this and that is why i think we could hold off a bid from Madrid.
