The Spurs boss has lined up giant Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente to replace Roman Pavyluchenko.
Llorente stands at 6ft 4in and is seen as the perfect target man by Redknapp as he looks to off-load the Russian flop.
The 24-year-old Llorente has been in outstanding form for Bilbao in La Liga and was part of Spain's Confederations Cup squad last month.
He has made it clear he would relish a move to the Premier League and, after talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, Redknapp will make his move.
Llorente is certainly a cheaper option than either Crouch or Real Madrid's Klass Jan Huntelaar, another factor that appeals to Levy.

I`m basque and i`m athletic club fan too. llorente is more expensive than 12 million pounds. Is aproximate price is into 30 and 40 million euros.

I hope he doesn't move to Spurs, it'll ruin his career. Staying at Athletic will be the best thing for him as they have a good few young players coming through, and if they can keep this current crop together they will be a top 6 club next year without a doubt. Iraizoz, Iraola, Javi Martinez (who will not move to Liverpool), Amorebieta, Susaeta and Llorente will help Athletic re-establish themselves as one of the top teams in La Liga next year.
Aupa Athletic!!

£12million bid?? This is a joke for a player like Llorente. He is for sure the 3rd best spanish forward after Torres and Villa, and he is younger than them.
In other team of the spanish league he would score around 25 goals. Bilbao doesn't score a lot of goals...
Spurs should bid at least £22million and it would be worthy without any doubt, if not, there is no chance of signing him in my opinion...

I'm spanish.
i don't support Bilbao, but I think Fernando Llorente is maybe the 3rd best spanish forward after Torres and Villa.
It will be a great purchase.

Bent is the one to leave not Pavlyuchenko. He is NOT a flop and can speak english.

When he was at Portmouth club the man nearly ruined David Nugents career by not playing him,now he is applying the same princeples of Pav.

A big target like that up front would be ideal. With RK's ability to hold the ball up and Defoe's speed we would have a mountain of goals in us. Come on 'arry...

Your article calls Pavlyuchenko a flop, can you explain why you have called him that?
14 goals from 26 starts in his first season in England.
