STEVE BRUCE CHASES NORWAY STRIKER

STEVE BRUCE will make a £4million bid to bring Norway striker Moa Abdellaoue to Sunderland.

The Valarenga frontman, 23, a target for Manchester United last season, is desperate to play here.

And Bruce, who has watched the player a number of times, aims to give him his chance.

jack arnold sunderland are bigger than newcastle, historically and currently.Newcastle have only been the bigger club between most of 1992-2007 with the era keegan and the premiership started. Thats nothing compared to over a hundred years.Who is in the premiership?,biggest attendance record?,most league titles?,yes jack it is sunderland the last of the sleeping giants.

First of all, its okay to use his real name - its Mohammed. I gues Norwegians are in denial about that given the islamophobia over there.

In any case, Abdellaoue is a marginal prospect where the premiership is concerned. His is quick, but he plays a main striker not a "10" - and I dont think he is physically capable of leading the line in the premiership. In the Norwegian league he is capable of moving out on the wing, but in the premiership that role would demand a level of offensive productivity (dribbling completion, crosses and still some goals) that he cant offer either.

At Sunderland he will have to produce right away. He cant do that and he will subsequently be buried. The guy would be better off going to a bigger team that can afford to have him sit on the bench, learn from stars and work on his physique. He isnt physically ready to PLAY in the premiership right now.

I'm norwegian and I have been watching Moa for quite a while. He may just be the diamond Bruce is looking for, he has an astonishing work rate, shoots well with both feet and is young and promising. If Su'land keeps Kenwyne Moa might blossom as Kenwyne is strong and capable of making space for strikers.

Not my cup of tea but Bruce will be making some savvy signings no doubt, this could be one of them.

Newcastle supporters, why not visit your own club's boards instead of being jealous and coming on the Sunderland's one eh?

I hear Scunthorpe is a lovely place to visit in December though - enjoy!
