He was well bought at £5,500 and some of the big-name owners may be rustling around for their chequebooks if he successfully returns to the cathedral city at 4.10.
His cheap purchase price means he gets into this auction race with a decent weight while his pedigree suggests there is only one thing he's going to do - and that's get better. He was decidedly green before the off on debut, but travelled well during the race itself before putting things to bed.
Chris Catlin takes over from France-bound Richard Hughes, but that's no problem as he's as consistent as they get and can be relied to ride a no-nonsense kind of race from an ideal draw.

my nap of the day runs at the curragh captain gerrard 210 he ran on well behind scenic blast at royal ascot and that should be good enough to beat this field
