CARLO ANCELOTTI officially takes over as Chelsea manager this Wednesday - but the reality is he's been working non-stop on Blues' business since May.
And that means the Italian coach can hit the ground running as he takes the helm at Stamford Bridge.
One of the first things he did after being confirmed in the job was to phone Chelsea captain John Terry and vice-captain Frank Lampard for a long chat with the club's two most influential players.
He also asked Chelsea to forward all the medical records of the players - including an analysis of their personalities and characters. Ancelotti then requested detailed DVDs of every member of the squad, not just during matches but in training.
And for the past few weeks he has studiously gone through all of the information to ensure he knows as much as possible about the players.That's how determined he is to make a winning start in SW6.
Ancelotti is a man who leaves little, nothing preferably, to chance. When the players return for training on July 6 he will already know their strengths and, just as importantly, their weaknesses. That's when he will get to work on their minds, for he's a great believer in the psychological side of the game.
Ancelotti will tell the likes the Michael Essien, John Terry, Frank Lampard that they are the best in the world and it's a message he will ram home repeatedly to forge a formidable belief and will to win.
But he won't be waving a big stick around to do it. He models himself in the role of a benevolent teacher, rather than fearsome dictator. He works closely with his players and is always talking with them and encouraging them.
He's been known to spend up to two hours carefully preparing the next day's training session! That's because he knows just how tedious training can be and so he is constantly inventing new methods in an effort to keep his players engaged.
In that respect he's almost the complete opposite to last season's new boss, Luiz Felipe Scolari, who had the players at the point of revolt over his lackadaisacal, lacklustre sessions.
The new boss is far more like the long-lamented fans' favourite Jose Mourinho, another who believed in attention to detail and focused preparation.
Chelsea supporters will hope that Ancelotti's way brings similar results to the 'Special One', who won six trophies in three seasons. That's the daunting challenge ahead of him, but he won't be intimidated by it. And he won't be bothered by the ghost of Mourinho. He respects the achievements of his Portuguese predecessor but is not a fan of his antics or his tactics.
And he possesses an equally impressive track record.In his first full season, he led Milan to Champions League glory in the 2003 final against Italian rivals Juventus. He repeated the feat in 2007 with a win over Liverpool, gaining revenge for the penalty shoot-out reverse against the Merseysiders in the 2005 final.
We all know the Champions League is the Holy Grail for Blues' owner Roman Abramovich. Make no mistake, Ancelotti has just the same mega- confidence of Mourinho but without the abrasive, confrontational style. He will also be a champion of his players. Ancelotti has a reputation for always defending his team and he is proud of that.
He is also a forgiving man. His attitude is that everyone makes mistakes. That changes though if the mistake is repeated - as French star Johan Gourcuff found out. Ancelotti had high hopes of the midfield playmaker, raving about his talents and potential.But Gourcuff never adapted to life at Milan with Ancelotti and paid the penalty, first dumped on the bench, then loaned out to Bordeaux and finally sold off.
He also has a reputation as being scrupulously honest. He regards it as one of his finest qualities and so does everyone he works with.

As patriotic Chelsea fan, i would like Chelsea to buy these players Lukas Podoski, Wesley Sneijder, Jan Huntalaar, Bruno Alves. These players wont be expensive compare with Pato, Aguero and Ribery.
Then sell Terry for 45m which is a good bargain for 29yrs player, also Carvalho, Deco, Ballack and then either Anelka or Kalou should go. The money raised from the sale of JT can be used to buy above mentioned players with little addition of say 20m.

we just need an alternative for lampard for set pieces.so we can have many potions.no need to bring ster players.it is proved that star signings havent been good for chelsea.eg-sheva,deco,ballack,belletti.players like essien,obi mikel,malouda,bosingwa were famous but not the star players.they were doing the best in their previous leagues but they never created so much news during their transfers.infact we need the players who eagerly want to prove themselves on international level not those who have already proved it.we have enough of experiane the players who play with grace and not physical players

We w'ld love to have Sergio Aguero, a player to pattern with Ashley Cole(Wayne Bridge) and one good Defender to replace Carvalho if they want to quit. we need old players Pirlo, Maicon etc. And lastly Jose Bosingwa is not for sale Bayen Munich sh'ld know that and they are wealthy as Chelsea. So they sh'ld try else where for left back. Viva Chelsea

We don´t need Maicon and Ribery. We need just two young players Aguero and Pato. We also have a lot of good players in the academy.
Zhirkov is good but we already have excellent A.Cole and they are both the same age. We also have Manciene.

I am very happy for CARLO ANCELOTTI taking charge of Chelsea Fc my best and lovely club, This is one club that i will die for. So it is very painfull to see that to dont make their fans sad...So i think we need to buy more and better player likes and it should be my dream team for this season.
\Ancelotti dream team: Cech, Maicon, Terry, B Alves or Alex, A Cole, Mikel, Essien, Lampard, Ribery, Tevez, Drogba. I think with all this player if we dont win anything or the Champions, We should forget win it forever and ask our team what is wrong...Well i dont want us to sell any player, But Deco should go.I Hope if chelsea cannot get this player they should look for better as well.

I personally think chelsea should go out there and fish out a few signings while remembering to replace the the sold players with younger ones.
Ancelotti had a very old side at Milan hopefully he wont sign too many players over 30.
He might even bring in the next kaka to chelsea like he did with Milan as well as Pato.
That would really pay off.

since its getting really dificult to buy players coz they all want to go and play in madrid,our teams should capitalise on this weakness,get all those madrid rejects,i tell you they are as good as the ronaldos and the riberys.we will get them cheap as they seem to be surplus for madrid,the likes of robben,schneider,van dal vatt etc,at madrid it wasnt the players not performing,it was the whole system at the club thats why even with ronaldo and kaka they ae never a guarantee tey will do fine.take these plaers to another club,gell them with the other good players we already have,they will be stars and madrid will wonder how and why.

Chelsea already has a superstar squad. We don't need Ribery, Pato or Ibrahimovic. All these news are ridiculous. I think we should buy great talents but not really expensive ones. For example, I wish Chelsea offers a deal to the French league topscorer, Gingac. Also Joaquin or Mata from Valencia. We could replace Deco with Real's Van der Vaart or Spurs' Bentley and not Pirlo because we don't need older players anymore!
If all these rumors are true then the team managment is pure stupid!

If Bayern Munich want our own Jose Bosingwa good, then he could be used to secure Franck Ribéry with costless amount. After that we can use
Calvaho and Deco to secure Maicon who is not happy at inter milan, instead of paying high volume amount for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, especially
when we have already has in our custody a loyal Didier Drogba who is a treat to any defence in the world. Besides no Italian stiker has ever

Why has the season not started yet! Can honeslty say im optomisitic for the first time since Jose left. We don't need to many signings, just concentrate on keeping Essien and Drogba so we can start becoming the serious threat we were a couple of season ago.
