STOKE boss Tony Pulis wants to rescue Habib Beye from crisis-club Newcastle.

The Potters chief will bid £1million bid for the full-back when the Toon's new owners take over.

Relegated Newcastle will be keen to off-load Beye, 31, who would become Stoke's fifth Senegal player, to cut the wage bill.

Habib beye has said in several local paper interviews he wants to stay at Newcastle, the chance of another season in the premier league might change his mind but i think it will depend what happens at Newcastle over the next couple of weeks as much as anything, i would be very surprised if the club accepted a bid as low as 1 million though.

What makes you think Habib Beye will stay at your club? I think he will go to Stoke, he is 31 and will want to finish his career in the top division. Newcastle will have to sell every player that other clubs want unless they can get rid of the big earners. All of your big earners were were the first ones to commit themselves to fighting for promotion.(you know they are only thinking of themselves. Look at last season) They know no other club will pay them what Newcastle are paying them, because they are washed up has beings. When you look at the big picture you could be the next Leeds.

£1 million for beye? He's top notch, if newcastle were to sell him, £3-4 million is more realistic.

Its not about who is or is not the bigger club. It is about a footballer with the chance to play in the best league in the world. If he has ambitions he will move if he fancies fighting off relegation again he will stay put.

Newcastle have a rude awakening. Sorry lads from the Toon, the 3 relegated teams from the Championship to Div 1 only 5 years ago were all premier teams. Wake up and coffee spring too mind. Your now in the hardest league in the world, up against some really great teams

Habib Beye will stay at newcastle afer all he is 31 now .and if he stays he will help us get back into prem again and will become one of our gods . people forget he has been one of the best defendres in the prem so we should let him keep his wage we owe him that and we will allways get 100% from him as he loves the club.
