HULL are ready to step up their pursuit of Newcastle's Kevin Nolan by offering £2.5million for the midfield player.

Nolan, 29, joined Toon from Bolton for £4m in January but is now desperate to quit St James' Park after suffering relegation.

Tigers boss Phil Brown is a huge admirer of Nolan, having worked with him at Bolton.

And Nolan is expected to jump at the chance of a move back to the Premier League, with Hull ready to offer a three-year deal.

I suspected Hull would be Championship bound next season.anyway, but adding Nolan and Owen just about guarantees it.

Bye Bye Nolan we would have been better off with the nolan sisters playing for us as your contribution was minimal!
