Newcastle managing director Llambias is an isolated figure on Tyneside during owner Mike Ashley's attempt to sell the club.
But Llambias saw things get worse when his BMW was taken back by dealers, who said the deal on the car expired.
"It was embarrassing," said a club insider. "He had no idea his car had been taken back. He was fuming."
Meanwhile, the club have slashed prices of executive boxes by up to 66 per cent in a desperate bid to keep their wealthiest fans at St James' Park.
One businessman admitted: "I would walk away if they had kept the price the same. But now I'm tempted by the new deal."

Deserved to go down ...sadly. It's a shame we didn't manage to break any of the Makums dismal records in the process, at least we could have celebrated something. The unwashed have become the NE only Premierships team because of OUR performance, not their own which looking at their last 10 results was horrendous and nothing to be proud of...We'll be back, though God knows who'll be managing us...at least Cashley won't be in charge, the guys had a nightmare from the minute he came in...The players haven't performed this Season at all - for the wages they are on they should be ashamed, I would have told them they weren't getting paid unless we got something from our last game (see what result that got) - for the magnificent fans who have sung loud and proud, keep your heads high - Haway the lads (and bring on Blackpool)

Don't worry Derek, let the train take the strain for the away fixture at Scunthorpe.
Now what was it that John Cooper Clarke said?
Great job by the way, you boys are football geniuses, almost as good as John Bond when at Burnley.

I'm a Bury fan but can't understand everyones fascination with Newcastle. I suppose its symptomatic of this country, building em up to be great then tearing em down. Other club's fans are almost obsessed. . . . why? Personally i think they've got amazing fans, a great stadium and wish them luck but they'll never get anywhere while Mike Ashley is in charge.

Oh to play in Europe and fail on a regular basis, soon you'll be playing Nottingham Forest and they won the European cup twice in the last 30 years, that's a real big club.
How much will you mention Europe then?
Greggs will be devastated,no more plastic fat mags to consume their stodge.
Enjoy days out to Blackpool.

More articles like this one please. I get great pleasure from reading of this inferior football club's plight. I would also like to see more stories focusing on the distress of their supporters.

why not join niall's magic carpet ride only a few miles down the road the road,60% discount smells of desperation, as seen earlier all premier roads in the north-east lead to the S.O.L.,
