The Denmark international, 29, has made just five appearances during his one season at Goodison Park and will not be offered a new deal by Toffees manager David Moyes.
Clarets boss Owen Coyle has already spoken with the right-back, who looks set to make the switch to Turf Moor despite the bookies making them 1-2 for the drop.

i'm a true blue and havew to use caution because when ste peanuts came the first few gamers was saying and other blues i hope he never wears the shirt again. i was totally wrong. now lars was chased by us for at least a couple of seasons when he was still at fc copenhagen before he went to nurenburg so moyes must have seen something. i know he had the injury from international duty and hasn't figured enough but beside playing well in he 2nd half of the final for me he jockies off to much and turns away from the ball. to be honest if moyes has some1 lined up for the right who is better than docker hibbit also then let him go. Everton need some1 at right back and right wing but if no1 is lined up keep him as we aint seen him have a good run of games yet and as much s hibbit is a blue h's the only player who scres me for the week link. even teams who play us try to have joy on their left going at hibbit. the fact is to break in2 the so called top 4 we need quality. the best british right back without a doubt is g.johnson but 18m may be a tad bit too much for us lol coyb

this is one player everton should keep as he looked sharp at right back towards the end of the season and a lot better than others ive seen in that position for a while, so try keep him davie, unless ya have someone elso up ya sleeve for there, but even so i think we should still keep him

I would hardly say he is unwanted!, what little we have seen of him this season (because he dislocated his shoulder at the start of the season) he has shown to be more than worthy of wearing the blue shirt of everton , and i for one would be sad to see him go!!!

Considering EFC officially announced today who would be leaving the club this summer and with Jacobsen not being one of them I'd be surprised if he did sign for Burnley.
When he has played he has proven himself to be a quality right back, especially the way he managed to marshall Malouda in the second half of the cup final after Hibbert has done such a bad job in the first half.
He wants to stay in the UK, but if EFC do decide to release him he would have much better offers from clubs in th epremiership than Burnley, and I mean that with the greatest respect towards them.
