NEMANJA VIDIC: I STAY

NEMANJA VIDIC has given Sir Alex Ferguson a huge boost by pledging his future to Manchester United.

The Serbian defender, 27, is a £25million target for Barcelona AND Real Madrid, with Nou Camp boss Pep Guardiola expected to table a bid in the next couple of days.

And after reports claimed Vidic's wife Ana wanted to leave Manchester because of the climate, it seemed Red Devils boss Fergie would have a fight on his hands to keep hold of the centre-half.

But Vidic has now committed himself to Old Trafford - and that will come as a big relief to Ferguson.

Vidic said: "I am very happy here and next season we will start again. I have got no desire to go anywhere. People forget that when you join a new league you don't just have to adjust to the country, you also have to adjust to the style of football.

"I feel my game is well adjusted to England now and I want to play a part in a successful team next season. United can make it a record four titles in a row next year."

And far from being fed up, Vidic is feeling more and more at home. He said: "I've started to understand and love all the things you English love. Now I even love a bacon sandwich!"

Good to hear Nemanja, he is a unreal defender, And isn't too bad at getting up for headers from corners.

How can you move on to bigger and better if you play for Man Utd, can someone explain that for me. Oh by the way 3 titles in a row 2 European finals in a row, World club Champions. Now lets see what Real have won in the last 3 seasons ?

I see a lot of Liverpool fans are trying to rock the boat at united i am glad Ronaldo has gone. United will show its not down to one player. Last season people forget that we was setting records for clean sheets. Unlike Real, United has worked on a solid defence then strikers, Rooney will play in his natural position. Liverpool struggle without Steve G and the way its going at the Kop you better be more concerned about keeping hold of your midfield.

I hope he stays, & know that he will, as he is not a liar, or a cheat like ronaldo

PMSL are you for real ? or just a dipper ?

It seems to me the highlight of any Liverpool supporters season has been Ronaldo leaving, what they fail to understand is it has been the highlight for a lot of United fans as well lol

Vidic is notthing like that tart Ronaldo

By Nixxy. Posted June 14 2009 at 1:50 AM.

he is not a fool like ronaldo and he know where the football kings lives. well said vidic united got 20 super stars as real and barca connected to his trasfers so stii we have super stars that never dreaming other than united vidic is one of them and he comes from serbia where people make decisions from the heart not for money. i hope other ppl agree on this

I heard similar things from Ronaldo only a few weeks ago.

Man Utd fans shouldn't be complacent, the whole of their team could move on to bigger and better things at this rate.

Really this is what you would expect from a true professional. Go 4 it NEMANJA. More Sunderland celebrations, one who wears his heart on his sleve. Bill Folkes, Steve Bruce, etc. NEMANJA continues the tradition
