ALEX McLEISH aims to bring Stoke-born Mike Williamson back to the Midlands.

Birmingham City boss McLeish is currently on holiday in the Cayman Islands.

But he will find time to signal his intent with a formal £500,000 bid for the 24-year-old Watford centre-half this week.
