And Tottenham boss Redknapp may get the Blackburn striker, 27, for just £10million.
Redknapp sees the Paraguayan, who sat out the end of last season with a knee injury, as the man to help transform Spurs into a top-six side.
Redknapp needs to sell some of the dead wood at White Hart Lane to bankroll his spree.
He said: "If I can get the players I want we'll have a terrific team. I reckon it will take £30m to get them but I'll have to balance the books by selling."
Sunderland's Kenwyne Jones, Aston Villa's Ashley Young and Boro's Stewart Downing are also possible targets.

If these rumours are true about all these players leaving I want redknapp out and mourinho in like I've always wanted huddlestones class and rememeber he's still so young , we will end up getting rid of 8 players and get about 7 or 8 in and then harrys excuse 4 a poor season will be the players will need time to gel which they will I agree so how can this work out interesting summer ahead

If there is one place I trust Harry its in the transfer market and Spurs hardly ever get a good deal! At least with Harry in charge we might get some good players at reasonable prices this summer. Joe Cole and Nistel the Pistol are both exciting rumours. I think Harry could be perfect for spurs, only time will tell

" Sir Harry ",, has been great for the spurs and long will continue to do so. The reason he has not enjoyed success at the highest level is, he has not managed a team of this magnitude. Whilst he has had good players under him and good staff beside him,he has not had access to unlimited funds , which he does now under chairman (Levy).
Therefore with a few quality players coming in,I believe spurs will have a greater season than the last, possibly finishing above Villa and Everton.
Although not yet ready to challenge the "big four".

well maybe harry shud wait it out, im guna love it wen lennon gets injured & we have 2 play an academy player on the right!! Jenas, scores. Huddelstone scores. BENTLEY SCORES. if any of them ever get a chance to play!! downing is terribly inconsistent. Kenwyne Jones is worse than ANY of the 4 strikers we currently have, & Ashley Young seems to be his only credible target. When we cud also play O'Hara/Modric on the left. Im having 2nd thoughts about 'arry already!

Harry has a plan, dont worry about that! Biggest worry for the team is to find a long term replacement for Ledley. Thats the priority. Young or Cole, both good shouts as well as a Santa cruz.

I am a bit confused here. Santa Cruz for 10 million pounds? Spurs asking price for Bentley has reduced to 10 million pounds so are you telling me Bentley is worth as much as Cruz? I don't think so. Keep dreaming.

Quick somebody fetch Rob I think he's about to jump off a cliff. How pessimistic. If and only if players like Bentley, Jenas, Bent, Huddlestone leave and we replace with the likes off Young, Santa Cruz, Muntari then we will make a big challenge next year. However those sold are players who we dont need and players coming in have to be right. I cannot believe we are being linked to Glenn Jonhnson. How many right backs do we actually need? We must buy for the right positions not just big names

Go and get Joe Cole Harry. If Ancellotti goes out to get Ribery then Cole's place is less likely and in a world cup year he needs first team football. If not. then Ashley Young will do nicely in exchange for Bentley & Jenas

Rob, what are you talking about? We have great players that can do well at challenging the top 5. Thanks for the pride in our team!! We will defiantly buy some great players. 'arry has got it all under control ;)

I don't think Spurs will do well next year as you see Man city spending big on players that will improve them and i think spurs are going to sell good players and only replace them with players the same level or worse i don't think spurs have any money left to challenge the big 6 now .
Next season will unfortunatley be a struggle and then the board will sack Redknapp and we will be starting all over again just as we always do every 2 years.
