It's four years since the Gunners last lifted silverware - and supporters insist certain players owe it to their boss to raise their game drastically.
That's just one of the findings from our survey of fans at all 20 Premier League clubs.
We asked supporters for the highs and lows of the season. And Mark Brindle of Red Action said: "There are a few players at the club who need to step up to the mark.
"Nicklas Bendtner would certainly be one in that category. Emmanuel Eboue took a lot of stick but finished the season well. He still needs to continue his improvement.
"We can only hope that where Arsene Wenger was correct in his assessment of Andrey Arshavin, he will also be proved right with Bendtner and Eboue."
Wenger has admitted that he has no chance of competing financially with the three other Big Four clubs and Manchester City.
But Brindle said: "I think we will maintain our place in the top four. I'd like to bring players through the ranks but I don't think our fans have the patience. The Premier League has become the greed league."

GOOD BUY: Yaya Toure would suit the Premier League and Brede Hangeland would do the basics very well at the back.
GOODBYE: Emmanuel Adebayor. His heart isn't at Arsenal and that comes across. His attitude is poor.
TOP MAN: Robin van Persie was brilliant in the first half of the season and it was good to see him fit all year. After Christmas, Andriy Arshavin looked class.
VERDICT: We lost at Manchester City in November and the club looked to be imploding. We turned it around with a long unbeaten run.
VALUE FOR MONEY: I pay £32 a game on average and that is good value.
Mark Brindle - Red Action

GOOD BUY: The defence needs strengthening and Brede Hangeland from Fulham would be a welcome addition.
GOODBYE: Fringe players like Isaiah Osbourne and Marlon Harewood don't have much of a future. Nicky Shorey could also leave.
TOP MAN: Martin Laursen - a credit to the club off the pitch and a colossus on it.
VERDICT: The high was destroying Arsenal on their own turf and the low the ill-fated decision to rest key players when we travelled to Moscow.
VALUE FOR MONEY: My season ticket behind the goal cost £265 thanks to the best chairman in the league.
Mark Ashmore - www.villatalk.com

GOOD BUY: I would like to see us sign Jerome Rothen from PSG. He would give us the width we lost when David Bentley went to Spurs last summer.
GOODBYE: We need to get rid of Jason Roberts. He is a Championship striker.
TOP MAN: Ryan Nelsen had an excellent season in defence. Stephen Warnock was also very impressive at left-back and Keith Andrews did well in midfield.
VERDICT: We are pleased to have stayed in the league but Big Sam will have to work some magic if we are to avoid a struggle again next season.
VALUE FOR MONEY: The tickets are priced around £20 but the team were not that good for most of the season.
Mark Edgeley - www.4000holes.co.uk

GOOD BUY: Tom Huddlestone would be the answer to our midfield problems. At present we have no guile and no passing ability.
GOODBYE: Johan Elmander hasn't scored enough goals - £8.2million is a hell of a lot to spend on a player who's not doing his job.
TOP MAN: We'd have been relegated if we didn't have Jussi Jaaskelainen.
VERDICT: Gary Megson doesn't have too many fans at the Reebok. We need four or five new signings and I think he will go next season unless the tactics change.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Last season it was £400 and it's going down to £360 but the football is horrible to watch.
Chris Manning - www.the-wanderer.co.uk

GOOD BUY: We need more power up front. I'd like to see David Villa and Ashley Young at the club.
GOODBYE: Andriy Shevchenko is still a Chelsea player but must leave for his own sanity.
TOP MAN: Super Frankie Lampard! He's a strong character and kept all his personal issues off the pitch.
VERDICT: Luiz Felipe Scolari brought us fans back down to earth. As the season wore on I learnt to enjoy victories more. Success can breed complacency.
VALUE FOR MONEY: You always think you're paying too much but nothing else is like supporting Chelsea.
Peter Sampson - www.CFCnet.co.uk

GOOD BUY: Michael Owen wouldn't cost us anything but his salary could be a problem. His family are Evertonians.
GOODBYE: Louis Saha scored a wonderful goal at Wembley but I think he's finished. I wouldn't want to keep Jo either.
TOP MAN: Phil Neville may not be the best, most gifted player, but he is a great captain.
VERDICT: It took me a long time to come round to David Moyes - I thought he was too negative. We need a centre forward. We can't cope without Yakubu.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Excellent. I'm only paying £500 for next season. It was £560 last year.
John Munro - www.everton-southport.com

GOOD BUY: We need a striker. I'd have John Carew from Aston Villa or Marc-Antoine Fortune, who was on loan at West Brom.
GOODBYE: Players Roy Hodgson didn't sign, like Hameur Bouazza, who spent last season out on loan, could be shown the door.
TOP MAN: Brede Hangeland is our John Terry. Any Premier League manager who has money to spend will be looking at him, but I think he'll stay.
VERDICT: All credit to Hodgson, he has done an absolutely brilliant job.
VALUE FOR MONEY: I travel from Berlin and I've decided to buy a season ticket - it's only about £15 a game.
John Aitken - www.fulhamsc.com

GOOD BUY: I'd have Fraizer Campbell back. He's dropped down the pecking order at Manchester United.
GOODBYE: We thought Peter Halmosi was going to be an exciting player but this season has been a non-event for him.
TOP MAN: Michael Turner has risen up the leagues with us and really shone this season. If he gets a move he could force his way into Fabio Capello's plans.
VERDICT: It was obviously great to stay up. The manager will need to change half the side to do it again.
VALUE FOR MONEY: The fans are really excited to still be in the Premier League. I think £350-£380 is good value.
Paul Cockerton - www.thekempton.com

GOOD BUY: David Villa would be that class striker we need to go alongside Fernando Torres. With Aaron Lennon on the wing, we'll turn draws into wins.
GOODBYE: I don't want to see anyone go but if I had to sacrifice one player it would be Lucas Leiva. His decision making could be better.
TOP MAN: Steven Gerrard was phenomenal. Having him on the pitch always gives us something extra. Dirk Kuyt and Yossi Benayoun were also impressive.
VERDICT: Nobody gave us a chance of finishing where we did. It all bodes well for next season.
VALUE FOR MONEY: I pay £30 a game to sit in the Kop and feel as tired as the players when I leave!
Steve Phillips - www.thisisanfield.com

GOOD BUY: I'd like us to get Didier Drogba. We need someone to build a team around.
GOODBYE: Elano has not been a good influence in the dressing room. I wouldn't be sad to see Micah Richards leave either.
TOP MAN: Stephen Ireland totally transformed his game. In our Player of the Year poll his overall share was above 90 per cent.
VERDICT: We finished 10th and suffered embarrassing cup defeats against Brighton and Nottingham Forest. Mark Hughes needs to finish in the top six next season.
VALUE FOR MONEY: We won 13 at home so my season ticket was good value. My kids pay £95 a season.
Kevin Parker - general secretary, official supporters' club

GOOD BUY: Carlos Tevez. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. He has played a big part.
GOODBYE: We need to get rid of Nani. In the two seasons he has been at the club he has gone backwards.
TOP MAN: Nemanja Vidic was a rock at the back and excellent in just about every game. He was at the heart of our great defensive record.
VERDICT: To win the league three years in a row is unbelievable. Liverpool will be very strong next year. Man City won't be a threat - they'll be another Newcastle.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Prices have gone up every year for the last five years. A lot of people can't afford the extra.
Oli Winton - www.joinmust.org

GOOD BUY: Leeds' Jermaine Beckford could torment a few Championship defenders.
GOODBYE: Mido's a disruptive influence and Robert Huth doesn't seemed bothered most of the time.
TOP MAN: In a season where most of our players were abject, Tuncay stood out. He has real quality. He still went missing for two months, mind.
VERDICT: Gareth Southgate has proved he can't hack it as a manager. I predict little better than a mid-table Championship finish next season.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Irrespective of the price, you can hardly say it was value. We went down with a whimper.
Andy Morgan - www.ComeOnBoro.com

GOOD BUY: I think Simon Cox at Swindon and Jermaine Beckford at Leeds would do a job in the Championship.
GOODBYE: We're lucky that our best players aren't necessarily our best paid players. Duff, Smith, Owen, Geremi, Barton, Viduka and Coloccini can all go.
TOP MAN: Sebastien Bassong was the club's best player by a country mile.
VERDICT: Absolute disaster. But I am convinced I will be watching a better side next season.
VALUE FOR MONEY: If you went to St James' Park expecting entertainment you will have been sorely disappointed at £500 for a season ticket.
Mark Jenson - www.nufc.com/themag

GOOD BUY: Carlos Tevez. I would love to see him at Pompey.
GOODBYE: Djimi Traore was on loan at Birmingham and moaning that he should be getting a game at Pompey but you only get in the team if you're good.
TOP MAN: Glen Johnson got the other players going. With the takeover we have a much better chance of keeping hold of him.
VERDICT: A rollercoaster of a season but Paul Hart was fantastic. He kept us up.
VALUE FOR MONEY: The early bird price of £550 is a £50 drop from last season. You can't fault the club for trying.
Barry Thompson - Portsmouth Northern Blues

GOOD BUY: Maybe a former international who wants one last shot in the Premier League, like Paul Scholes or Torsten Frings. I think Danny Murphy would fit the bill.
GOODBYE: Vincent Pericard and Dominic Matteo (if he's still here!) must go.
TOP MAN: Abdoulaye Faye has been cool, calm and brilliant. How did Newcastle let him slip away?
VERDICT: Better than we could have dreamed of. We were predicted to set the record low points total! We can definitely stay up again.
VALUE FOR MONEY: I think every Stoke fan would agree we were total value for money.
Ray Tait - Oatcake fanzine

GOOD BUY: We need a decent midfielder and a striker to play alongside Kenwyne Jones. A move might get Darren Bent going again.
GOODBYE: Djibril Cisse. Thankfully he's already gone. He was good for about five minutes a match.
TOP MAN: Danny Collins just keeps improving. He seems to have cut out the mistakes he used to make.
VERDICT: It was a typical season for Sunderland. The last time we finished well was under Peter Reid. I'm not excited by Steve Bruce.
VALUE FOR MONEY: I pay £400 for me and my helper, but I don't think it's great value.
Fred Taylor - www.boldonbranch.co.uk

GOOD BUY: We need a left winger and preferably one who's not over-priced and from Middlesbrough. A fit Martin Petrov or an in-form Morten Gamst Pedersen would do.
GOODBYE: Didier Zokora can't head, tackle or shoot. One good game in 10 is not enough.
TOP MAN: Apologies to the outstanding Luka Modric but his midfield partner Wilson Palacios steals it.
VERDICT: A team on the up. Fans will be more cautious than last pre-season but Harry is a far safer pair of hands than 'Here Juande gone tomorrow' Ramos.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Tickets are expensive but Modric can be worth the admission by himself.
Andrew Pennock - www.thespursweb.com

GOOD BUY: Barry Ferguson from Rangers sounds interesting. We play nice football but need some steel.
GOODBYE: Paul Robinson - he was one of the reasons we went down.
TOP MAN: Robert Koren had one or two average games but generally speaking he made us buzz. He is very hard working and works from box to box.
VERDICT: The home defeat to Newcastle and away defeats to Wigan and Man City defined our season. I can see us coming straight back up.
VALUE FOR MONEY: My concessionary season ticket is £259 and that is frozen for next season.
Tony Vass - www.londonbaggies.co.uk

GOOD BUY: I'd like to see us sign another striker. Kevin Doyle at Reading might be in our range.
GOODBYE: Diego Tristan and David Di Mchele should be going. If we can get money for Julien Faubert before his contract expires, that would be a bonus.
TOP MAN: Scott Parker edged it for me over Rob Green, Valon Behrami, Matthew Upson and Carlton Cole.
VERDICT: Europe looked possible for a while then the lack of squad depth hit.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Over £800 is a lot to watch Tristan and Di Michele! Next year's price cut is welcome.
Gordon Thrower - www.kumb.com

GOOD BUY: We need some good forwards and a creative midfielder. I'd like to see Michael Owen refresh his career here.
GOODBYE: Antoine Sibierski's and Henri Camara's contracts have run out. Amr Zaki and Mido will be out the door.
TOP MAN: Titus Bramble took all the awards. He was a real rock at the back.
VERDICT: We achieved our aim of survival. Now Steve Bruce has gone fans all want Roberto Martinez.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Brilliant. Last season we had the cheapest tickets in the league and finished a lofty 11th playing entertaining football.

I think Arsene Wenger could do alot of arsenal fans great favour if he gets rid of Adebayor, bentner and bring in Dzeko and Villa in the attack. In the midfield, we need steel with such player as Yaya. With his bro in the heart of our defence and if possible Hede Breglan ( pardon me ) of Fulham, We'd be challenging for top honours. Listen Prof, enough of silverwareless years. It's time we get back to our normal groove. What's all these noise about MU, CHELSEA, MAN CITY and the other GANGS. Shoot em up GUNNERS.

Chelsea need to sale Belleti, Deco, Cavalyho and they need to buy some good strikers like Pato, David Villa, Ribery to soften the frontline and Johnson has to come back from Portsouth, he has really shown that he is world player.
Ashey Young need to join the good stars at Bridge.
My advice to Chelsea Management is that they need to hurry just like Real Madrid hury for Kaka. and now we have missed to have him on board.
May be the best to do is to ask this forum to send for me the number for Chelsea owner or the Carlo the new manager in order to advice him more on this. We have money and we need to spend on the stars. I am tried of seeing MU and Barc lifting the silverwire up there in Roma or Mosco.......

In response to the comment from dan "rooney score 20+? you joking? rooney has the compossure of a rabbit" He HAS scored 20 goals this season in all competitions (12 in the league) and look at how many times he was played out of position, with good assist's from the left, right and midfield I have no doubt he will get at least 20+ next season. Diego is Juventus bound and I'd take Dzeko ahead of Hulk any day.

I think Man City will finish in the to 4 if we can get Teves to play at the only side in Manchester. Barry is a good buy. I think Micah should go and Elano. I would like City to go for a fit Michael Owen.

Tevez to become a mackem :)
By Doug. Posted June 7 2009 at 2:25 PM.
Zapata (cb)
Alonso (dm)
get rid of adebayor (20million), senderos (12 million)
and rosicky (5millions)
im an arsenal fan obviously but, Nani is much better than Anderson, yet to net a goal for man utd. poor contribution from an Attacking Mid.
and rooney score 20+? you joking? rooney has the compossure of a rabbit. hes and attacking mid.
man utd should sign Deigo in mid and hulk as a striker then that would be the perfect team.

"GOOD BUY: Carlos Tevez. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. He has played a big part"
To be fair I would love to see Tevez staying but we also need another top player or two, the left wing is a mess with Rooney having to do the job there, Ribery would be ideal. Central Midfield is also a problem, look how Barcelona detroyed UTD in the CL Final, Anderson isn't cutting it (can't score goals or create them) we need someone like Scholes and I believe Arda Turan could do a brilliant job for us there (would have loved to have Kaka).
I agree Nani has to go, Berbatov will be much better this year and with the addition of a proper left-winger Rooney will put 20+ in the net.
Come to MU Ribery you will never regret it!!!!!

Tevez to Pompey ? Was he joking?
