CROCKED - Zenit star Danny

CHELSEA'S £25million move for Zenit St Petersburg striker Danny has been hit by a serious injury.

The Portugal international, 25, damaged a knee in training last week and could be out for up to six months.

Danny said: "The truth is I had an offer from Chelsea. My move to England was very probable."

He will undergo an operation this week and still hopes the Blues will renew their interest when he completes his recovery.

Danny joined Zenit from Dynamo Moscow for a Russian league record £26.5m last year.

He scored one of the goals that sunk Manchester United in last summer's European Super Cup and has also been linked with Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan.

This guy is world class. He is there with the likes of torres, eto, villa etc.

this guy is so underrated, and 26.5 million in a russian league is toooooooooooooooons of money. He will cost 35 at least, but will be worth every penny, absolute first class, hes got speed, an eye for the net, clinical finishing and brains to choose when to shoot and when to pass.
