MARK HUGHES TARGETS BENFICA PAIR
City to move for Luisao and Oscar Cardozo
MANCHESTER CITY are showing a strong interest in signing Benfica duo Luisao and Oscar Cardozo.
Agent Kia Joorabchian, who has strong links with City, met Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira and director of football Rui Costa in London last week to discuss a £15million double deal.
Brazilian centre half Luisao, 28, (right) has a buy-out clause of 25m euros, although the Portuguese club are likely to accept less than this for him.
Paraguayan striker Cardozo, 25, has a buy-out clause of 50m euros, but he could also be sold for less.
Luisao said: "For me the idea is very interesting. All players dream of playing in English football and it's no different with me.
"I'm happy about the interest, although as long as I've got a contract I'm also happy here. I'm going to speak to my agent to hear of any news."
Benfica plan to use the cash by ending Ricardo Quaresma's Chelsea hell. The winger has only started once for the Blues and wants to return to Portugal.

Well,fix the defence first.They scored good amount of goals last season.
Here is what I think is needed(that's why I am not a manager)
1) Fix the goaly
2) Get bruno alves make him the captain.Fix the defence.Look at fulham this season.
3)Bring Hulk(Porto) in, great talent, he can hold the ball till all the strikers have reached the goal, and he can also pass...Great asset and very young.
4)Get rid of ireland(Sorry, but doesn't fit with the brazilians)
5)Don't slip up,this is enough, play sterridge more,
This looks like a great team to me.Good enough to be in top 6.
I haven't seen cardozo game, but if possible, a stiker who can bully like drogba.(Physically huge and capable of winning the ball in air) Ronaldinho is more like a treaky striker.Needs support

city should spend more defender and midfield..bring in great defender..luisao is a great choice..bruno alves also great.. lescot...bring in yaya toure..play petrov along with robinho..and wright philip..
we also need new striker to play with bellamy..some kind of tough and good striker...

I would, urgently get them both.
They are tall, classy, and young.
I would pay 20 millions for Luisão and 25 for Cardozo.
Cardozo may become a "Premier" class striker in England.

City need to strenghen their midfield as well as the defence. They also need a big striker who can capitalise on the delivery from the midfield and the wings.

I support city although there is a slight chance of getting them. City won't win the league because we have robinho we will win the league because of better players, better fan support and better away scores as well as home!!! COME ON CITY!

No way this numbers are right.It can be a deal but not for 15mill. Benfica refuse an 13M ofer from Hamburg for O.Cardozo, so i'm not seen two players for 15m!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
