Chelsea have been outstanding under Hiddink with big-name stars such as Didier Drogba, 31, Frank Lampard, 30, Michael Ballack, 32, and John Terry, 28.
But, as Sir Alex Ferguson pointed out at the start of the campaign, the average age of the squad is high and playing 50 games a season is bound to take its toll.
Hiddink warned: "It's important to have a good balance in the age groups. You have to be aware that when players are ageing they can perform perfectly. But there's always a risk when they get injuries that it's more difficult to recover when you are 32 or 33 than when you are 24 or 25.
"It's good for competition in the squad to have some fresh blood, especially as in this country you play so much. These players can perform, of course, but bringing in other players would mean you have depth in quality."

It will be good for CFC next season if the cllub management will heed to Hiddink advice. I think the team needs offensive players that can add flare to the eams strenght and style of play
