JOEY BARTON could spark fresh outrage at Newcastle by returning to their training ground in eight days.

Sport of the World has learned Barton, suspended after his dressing room bust-up with Toon boss Alan Shearer at Liverpool last week, plans to reappear ahead of the clash with Aston Villa.

The move will infuriate Shearer, who does not want the 26-year-old to play for the club again.

Shearer imposed a two-week ban on Barton but then the midfielder can return.United chiefs have checked out the legality of terminating Barton's contract but fear a dressing room row may not be seen as gross misconduct.

A source said: "Joey will return to training and see what happens in the summer. If there is a change in manager, he may get another chance."

Barton is further proof of the failure of this government's Care in The Community system. This man should not be allowed in public without his carers, and should not be able to represent Newcastle again. Anyway, he's a Scouser!

I haven't seen anything in Joey Barton that isn't already regularly seen in every match from every team in the premiership. The Alonso tackle was a yellow not a red for anybody else and his reputation with the law outside of football is what follows him. I don't think he should be judged by the fact that hes got problems.

This cannot be allowed to happen. We have suffered enough this season without that criminal coming back to cause friction in the camp. Escort him off the premises if required, there are a few lads who would be quite willing to assist.

Leave the lad alone. he needs comforting and caring for rather than being hounded out. Shame Newcastle and it's lot - doomed and deserved.
