PAUL CASEY fought through to Sunday's 36-hole World Match Play final where he will meet Australia's Geoff Ogilvy.

The pair both live in Arizona and are even members of the same club.

Casey beat fellow Englishman Ross Fisher 2&1 in his semi-final while Ogilvy - the winner of this event in 2006 - despatched American Stewart Cink 4&2.

Cink had earlier in the day defeated Ernie Els 2&1 in the quarter-finals, while Ogilvy had ended the run of 19-year-old Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland with a 2&1 win.

McIlroy - in his first tournament as a pro in the United States - said: "Geoff played incredibly well but I can take a lot out of this week. I've held my own against some of the best players in the world."

Casey, who overcame American Sean O'Hair 4&3 in his quarter-final, said: "It will be fun to play Geoff - he's a mate."
