Farah brought the action at the Aviva Grand Prix in Birmingham to a close with a run of 7min 34.47 sec at the National Indoor Arena.
That was 6.52sec quicker than Farah, 25, ran last month.
And the Somalia-born star admitted it was now time for him to deliver when it matters - starting with next month's European Indoor Championships in Turin.
He said: "I knew I was in great shape and wanted to go under 7:40. I'm really pleased. I'll go out to Turin and give it 110 per cent."
SIMEON WILLIAMSON effectively sealed his place on the British team for Turin, winning the 60m in a new personal best of 6.53sec.
