DAVID MOYES' Everton are ready to battle it out with Wigan for £7million-rated Racing Santander striker Mohammed Tchite.

The 24-year-old from Burundi, who has chosen to qualify for Belgium after firing 42 goals in 88 games for Standard Liege and Anderlecht, has scored 14 times in 45 outings since moving to Spain.

Everton have already held talks with Santander president Francisco Pernia, while Wigan are interested after losing Emile Heskey to Aston Villa.
