It really was a collection of some of the greatest stars in the world and there was the luxury to match.
But even in such a glamorous setting one man was on a mission to prove he’ll never change. Step forward Mr Rhys Ifans.
He was all over recently blonde Aussie songstress Natalie Imbruglia. And I mean ALL OVER. She was perched on his knee through the night and loving it. They went to bed alone but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a romance on the cards soon.
Then when Nat left he entertained himself by forcing a Brit guest to down a straight glass of vodka. The fun and games!
Lily Allen turned up looking amazing in an old dress. She packed nothing because she locked herself out of her house before arriving in Dubai.
"I don't know what this dress is, I think I got it ages ago. It's just one I found at my Dad's house. I've had to buy all the stuff I've brought out. On the flight, I was wearing high heels and shorts!" she said.
On the plus side she was wearing £10 million worth of Chopard diamonds. Without a security guard!
And it wouldn’t be a showbiz party these days without yet more signs that Sam Ronson and Lindsay Lohan are seriously on the rocks. This time they began rowing and Sam’s mum had to step in to sort things out. Seriously girls...

The TV hunk was out on the ice at London's Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park with new bride Clare Harding and very much in love.
The pair have put their new life together on hold while Tom tries to win Strictly with partner CAMILLA DALLERUP. He even took Camilla on honeymoon with them to fit into his busy dance schedule.
But here the couple were clearly making up for lost time.

That’s because top celebrities from the UK and US are decamping here for the weekend for a lavish £20 million launch party to celebrate the opening of what’s being described as the most spectacular hotel in the world.
I’m not surprised either. The sun is out and everyone is gearing up for the official opening in a few hours where we’ll be entertained by Kylie Minogue and the biggest fireworks display in history.
Viewers' favourite John Sergeant today bowed out of Strictly Come Dancing - terrified he was going to waltz off as cha-cha-champ!

I CAN start to look for wedding gifts because LUKE WORRELL has FINALLY confirmed he's engaged to KELLY OSBOURNE.
The cute couple were said to have announced the upcoming nuptials on Facebook in their profile status from being 'In A Relationship' to 'Engaged.'
Then they denied everything, Kelly claimed she was too young to settle down and shrugged off the fact she was wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger.
But we decided to speak to the man model himself who finally bared all about his romantic proposal at Mahiki's last night.
Grinning from ear-to-ear, he said: "Yes Kelly and I are engaged and we're both really really happy.
"I got her a ring and even did the whole 'going down-on-one-knee' thing which seemed to go very down well with Kelly."

HAS LINDSAY LOHAN actually spent any time sleeping while in Britain?
Even though she's hit clubs every night since landing in the capital, she STILL had enough juice to party into the early hours at Mahiki's last night.
And despite the current frostiness with gal pal DJ SAMANTHA RONSON our favourite caner was there to support her set along with CELEB XS.
One onlooker told us: "Linds was clearly having a good time and enjoying herself as Sam played some funky beats that drove the crowd wild."

Other partygoers on our radar for the club's restaurant launch included a strangely well behaved JAMIE WINSTONE and ALFIE ALLEN.

THE stars were shining bright last night as some real legends of the industry came out for the annual Variety Club Bash, undoubtedly the most kitsch awards do on the showbiz calendar.
But I love it because it’s one of the few opportunities to get away from the drama of LiLo, Wino and Britney to hang out with some true A-list legends – and those who are going to be soon.
I scored a spot on a top table thanks to event broadcaster Sky1 with Cilla Black (amazing assets for 65, it has to be said) and my old mate Noel Edmonds and his very glamorous girlfriend Liz Davies.
Highlight of the night had to be when Noel won showbiz personality of the year and paid a glowing tribute to Liz. She couldn’t hold the tears back and told: "I think he must like me." Oh yes he does.
Sam Ronson could have played Bob The Builder on a loop last night at London’s oh-so-trendy Chinawhite and no-one would have noticed.
All the hungry crowd really cared about was whether lover girl Lindsay Lohan would be joining her - and the girls didn’t disappoint.
At one point during Sam’s DJ set, Lilo joined her in the booth and snogged in full view of the crowd, which included ex-love Calum Best.
