But Cowell - who split with long-term love TERRI SEYMOUR - has rejected the offers. So the GIRLS ALOUD hottie has suggested setting up a profile for Si on popular internet dating site mysinglefriend.com.

An X Factor insider told me: "Cheryl has made it her mission to tease Simon. It's a big joke on set and she's been ribbing him about finding a new girl.

"Cheryl's been playing lots of pranks - someone even left a blow-up doll in his dressing room, but we're not sure it was her.

"He's taking it all as good fun though."
