Mel B goes solo
MEL B invited me into a recording studio near Beverly Hills this week to reveal something exciting... no, it's not her crazy new hair-do (above, leaving Japanese eaterie Katsuya).
She's planning to revive her solo career!
GMTV's special Oscars correspondent told me: "I was in the studio last week - I've only done a handful of tracks.
"I'm waiting to find a sound that I'm happy with but I'm writing all my own stuff. I've got a lot going on this year but I'm making time to be in the studio. I was in there till five in the morning.
"I always find at night, when you've put the kids to bed, you can get into your zone."
Mel, who will be at SIR ELTON JOHN's star studded Oscar bash tonight, added: "To do an album takes time and energy. You can't have distractions going on."
Despite this, SCARY SPICE assured me it's full steam ahead for the SPICE GIRLS musical, which is currently being written by Mamma Mia mastermind JUDY CRAYMER.
"She's in the creative process at the moment but is listening to all of us," Mel said: "She's open to all five of our ideas. If it was up to me it will be out tomorrow."

I have really liked both of Mel's previous albums so really hope she does do a new one.

These Spice Girls need to stop with this..... really they need to stop. They have all tried there hand at solo careers and ALL failed (Yeah, yeah Mel C had a few hits, but she is no Robbie Williams or Justin Timberlake) they all need to quit with this "Oh but...but I can still sing" nonsense they have got stuck in there heads and do other things. They have all had their fame in the pop world and the pop world has moved on and left them behind. Stick to TV work or something, just don't release a record !!!

concentrate on your tv career by doing this it may have a negative effect on her tv side of business.she is still as hot as hell though .

please don't bother Mel....you cannot sing....We've got nough rubbish out there....if you truly love music, then leave it alone
