The Lib Dem lothario was at a comedy show in London's West End when funnyman Frank Skinner spotted him in the crowd and asked if he was single.
'Yes, I am unfortunately,' the MP shrugged.
The very public announcement signals the end of Lembit's high-profile fling with ex-Wonderbra babe Katie Green - who at 22 is half his age.
The pair met at a party in July and were snapped out on a string of dates although they always denied they were having an affair and some cynics dismissed their relationship as a publicity stunt.
30F Katie - who says she was dropped by Wonderbra after refusing to lose two stone - joins Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia, 27, and weathergirl Sian Lloyd, in Lembit's little book of could-have-beens.
Goodness knows how she's gonna find anyone else..!

I bet weathergirl Sian Lloyd is looking back and thinking what a mega favour Lembit did her going off with that tarty little cheeky girl. Although at the time Sian was left feeling totally humiliated and heartbroken she has the last laugh because now she is in a stable relationship and is also happily married while Lembit is desperate and looking more and more sadly pathetic! This brings to mind the story George Best used to tell when he was in a hotel room with a miss world and about 10 grand he had won at the casino , when room service arrived and the guy said to george "where did it all go wrong for you George".
And i bet old Lembit is kicking himself for seeing the wonderbra model (NOT)

Lembit is such a mug,these girls are using his position to raise their own profiles and nothing more.He needs to stop punching above his weight in the looks department and understand that dating women half his age is making him look pathetic.
